A New Favourite | Revlon 'Lollipop' Lip Butter

Hey Lovelies! I recently tweeted about how much I am loving 'Lollipop' Lip Butter by Revlon. It has quickly become my go-to lip product and has found a comfortable position among my favourites. For me, its all about the lips. If you are a regular reader of myy blog, I'm sure you will know by now how much I love lip products. I actually worked out the other day I have around 40 lipsticks. I was quite shocked at myself when I worked it out, obsessed much? Anyway, I realise I have blogged about the lip butters in a previous post here but I wanted to dedicate one just to the shade Lollipop. I've said it all before but I'll say it again. I love the packaging, the formula, the pigmentation and most of all I love the colour. I am a huge fan of a deep pink lip and have quite the collection. From MAC 'Girl About Town' to my most recent Inglot purchase, its clear to see this is one of my favourite lip colours. However, there is just something extra special about this lip butter that makes me reach for it over all my other berry pink shades. I think the formula of this product makes it exceptionally wearable. I have worn this during the day and also on a night out which is something I haven't done with my MAC or Inglot lipsticks. I think the glossy finish these lip butters provide makes them very versatile as I can add a hint of colour or build it up so it is bright and bold. As you can see from the picture above, when paired with a fairly neutral eye it really brightens up my face and gives my makeup a more polished look. I also own Strawberry Shortcake, Peach Parfait and Tutti Frutti lip butters but 'Lollipop' is my favourite by far. I bought mine from Boots on the 3 for 2 offer so I'd highly recommend holding out for that and giving these a try. They are a much cheaper than high-end lipsticks at only £7.99 each and in my opinion they are just as lovely.

Do you love the Revlon Lip Butters as much as I do? Whats your favourite shade?
I hope you have all had a lovely weekend!

Lots of Love,

OOTD | Pocahontas Playsuit

Playsuit - ASOS
Glasses - Primark
Bracelet - Pandora
Lips - Revlon 'Lollipop' Lip Butter

Hey Dolls! Firstly, happy Jubilee day and secondly, I have finally got round to doing an outfit post, yey! If you follow me on Twitter you will know how much I've been wanting to do one but never having the time. Is it just me or are outfit posts a complete mission? It all starts with having to make myself look acceptable enough for a picture, then find a nice background, then find some good lighting, then fiddle around with my camera because it won't focus and then analyse the pictures until I have some decentish shots. Yes, after all that there is no wonder I rarely have the time to do outfit posts. I guess my perfectionist personality doesn't make it any easier but if any of you lovely ladies have tips on making things quicker please do share. That being said, I do love an outfit post. I think they add a personal feel to my blog and I feel a sense of achievement when I capture a good shot. I also love seeing other bloggers outfit posts   and getting some inspiration for my own outfits. It is much nicer to see what real girls are wearing then the supermodels we see in the glossy magazines.
Moving on to what I'm wearing in the pictures above is this cute little playsuit from ASOS. I had been eyeing it up on the website for quite some time and each time I checked, it was sold out in my size. ASOS seem to have a habit of having no size 8s and 10s in stock, does anyone else notice that? Anyway, I kept checking back in hope they would get more in stock and much to my surprise, they did. As soon as I saw my size, I popped it in my basket and bought it, no hesitations. I also picked up another playsuit but I'll save that for another outfit post. I have a bit of a thing for playsuits because I love how easy they are to wear. I knew I'd be able to throw this on and my outfit would be complete. When it comes to fashion, I'm quite lazy. I prefer chucking something on that will look effortlessly stylish than having to mess around with ten different layers.
I love the detailing on this playsuit and the fact it is open at the back, the print reminds me of Pocahontas (I have no idea why) and I love the fact it doesn't need any accessories to make it look good. As you can see, all I am wearing in these pictures is my pandora bracelet. Of course I would add a chunky ring or bangles if I was going somewhere nice but for day to day wear, I think this playsuit is the perfect lazy outfit. It cost me £45.00 which I realise is quite pricey but I think it is justified when I know I will get a lot of wear out of it. I will definitely be dressing this up for a night out with big wedges or teaming it with a pair of sandals for a family day out. I think this is a very easy to wear, versatile item and I love it. I'd also like to add how much I am loving Revlon Lip Butter in the shade 'Lollipop'. I have been reaching for it a lot lately and it really brightens up my face when the rest of my makeup is minimal. It looks quite muted out on the picture above but in reality it is a gorgeous deep pink shade. Beautiful.

If you love this playsuit as much as me, you can find it on the ASOS website here. They only have size 16 in stock at the moment but it seems they keep selling out and re-stocking so all hope is not lost. I guess lots of people are loving this just as much as me!

Have a fabulous Jubilee day everyone!

Lots of Love,

A Little Revlon Haul

Colorburst Lip glosses - Peony Pivoine & Strawberry Fraise, Tutti Frutti Lip Butter & Peach Colorburst Lipstick
Nail Polish in the shade Radiant - Sorry I've not swatched it properly but I didn't really want to take pictures of my toes. Ew!

Hey Beauties! Ever since Revlon Lip Butters hit the market, I seem to have developed a slight obsession with all things Revlon. Every time I go in a shop that sells it I'm drawn in by the stands full of pretty colours and cute packaging. Luckily for me, whilst I was out shopping recently I saw 'buy one get one free' signs all over the Revlon Lip Products. Thinking it was too good to be true, I asked the sales assistant if it applied to all of the lip products and she told me it did, including the ever so hyped Lip Butters. Being the makeup junkie that I am, I was delighted to hear this and began acting like a giddy little child. Yes, makeup and my excitement over it officially sends me loopy. Anyway, I of course jumped at the chance of getting two products for the price of one and started raiding the shelves. To be honest, I could of spent a fortune but as I had a gift voucher I decided I would use that and ended up limiting myself to four things. After lots of 'umming' and 'ahhing' I decided on two Colorburst Lip Glosses in the shades 'Peony Pivione' and 'Strawberry Fraise', my fourth lip butter in the shade 'Tutti Frutti' and a Colorburst Lipstick in the shade 'Peach'. I clearly love a  bit of Colorburst. I love the quilted packaging of this range, I find it really elegant and it sort of reminds me of the Chanel quilted handbags. If only I had the money to afford one of those. *Dreams*
So after spending a good half an hour trying to decide which shades I wanted, I headed over to the till to pay. Well, use my voucher. How good is that? Not only was it buy one get one free but I was also using a voucher to pay. Four Revlon products for free, score. Now I didn't think my Revlon bargains could get any better until the lady serving me told me about a current offer they had on all Revlon products. She told me that if I buy 5 products from Revlon, I'll get a sixth product for free. She gave me a little card and ticked off four products which means I only need to buy one more to receive something for free. Of course I won't be missing out on this so once I've decided on another product, I'll be returning to receive my freebie. Do you have any recommendations? Also, you may notice I've included a nail polish in the photos above. I didn't actually buy this on the same day as the lip products but I wanted to include it anyway. This shade called 'Radiance' had been catching my eye every time I saw it so I decided I needed to buy it. I think this shade will look gorgeous on my toes as its sparkly, fun and pretty. I'm not sure how well it would work on finger nails but I'll have to have a play around and see what I can do with it. Overall, I love my new Revlon goodies and I can't wait to use them some more. If you would like to see anything reviewed in more detail, please just let me know in the comments below. As you can see from the swatches, they are all pigmented, moisturising and gorgeous glossy colours, what more can a girl ask for?

Have you tried any of these products? What other products would you recommend from Revlon?

Lots of Love,

April Favourites & A Blog Makeover

Barry M Nail Paint - Mint Green
Revlon Lip Butters - Strawberry Shortcake/Lollipop
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - Soft Beige
Babyliss Pro Argan Oil
Clarins Daily Energizing Gel
NARS Laguna Bronzer
Maybelline 24 hr Colour Tattoo - On and On Bronze
Real Techniques Buffing Brush

Hey Ladies! I hope you are all having a fab week. These are a selection of products I have been loving and using a lot throughout April. I didn't do a 'March Favourites' post as I was rushing around getting ready for trip to Australia so I definitely wanted to do one this month as I always enjoy reading other peoples. Not surprisingly, NARS Laguna has made its way into my favourites again. I featured it in my February Favourites and to be honest, I think it will be included in every favourites post I do. It is a product I never get bored of and I use it every single day. All of the other products listed are relatively new and if you read my blog regularly you will know I have reviewed the Lip Butters, Colour Tattoos, Wake Me Up Foundation and Real Techniques Buffing brush in previous posts. As for the Argan Oil and Clarins Moisturiser, these are also recent purchases and I will be reviewing them soon so keep a look out for the upcoming posts if you want to hear more about them. They are both fabulous products that I have been really enjoying. As for the Barry M Nail Polish, what can I say? It is the most perfect Spring nail colour ever. I'm loving anything mint at the moment so this is perfect. Barry M are great nail polishes and this colour has been on my toes for the past couple of weeks.
Also, you might of noticed my blog has had a bit of a makeover. I absolutely hated my previous header as it was far too big and far too pink. I am not on photoshop so it was a pretty shoddy homemade job. It was so big that it stretched my whole screen meaning I had to zoom out every time I clicked on my blog. I hated it being so big and I imagine it would be annoying for anyone reading my posts, Anyway, after months of stressing about my awful header, I decided I needed help. I got in touch with Kirsty from Rockit&Rebel after seeing her advert for £5.00 blog headers on Twitter. I told her what I was after and she sent me lots of samples. I decided on this cute grey and pale peach colour scheme in the end and I am delighted with it. I think my blog is a lot easier on the eye now and it is now the perfect size meaning I don't need to zoom out whenever I load it. Yey, happy Kayleigh. For £5.00, I can't complain. It is such a great price and Kirsty was so helpful. If you fancy freshening up your blog, you can get in touch with Kirsty via Twitter here or at her blog here. What do you think of my new and improved blog? I hope you all like it!

Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourite products this month?

Lots of Love,

Revlon Lip Butters - Strawberry Shortcake & Lollipop

Strawberry Shortcake, Lollipop
Strawberry Shortcake
Lollipop

Hey Guys! Your probably thinking "Oh no, not another Lip Butter post" and yes I realise they have been very 'hyped' in blogger land, but I wanted to give you my two pennies worth anyway. I must admit I was sucked in to the hype and I couldn't resist picking up a couple from Boots whilst the 3 for 2 offer is on. If you read my haul post you will know I got two of these along with a Real Techniques powder brush on the 2 for 3 offer meaning I got one of the Lip Butters for free. Yey!
I decided on the shades 'Strawberry Shortcake' and 'Lollipop' after seeing various blog posts and swatches. I love both of the colours as I think they are both very wearable. I went for Strawberry Shortcake as its a natural nude pink and then Lollipop as it is a vibrant blue toned pink. I wanted to try a neutral and a vibrant shade so I could test the pigmentation and so on. The first thing I will talk about is the formula. I'd class these as a mix between a lipstick, lip balm and a lipgloss. They have the pigmentation of a lipstick, the moisture of a lip balm and the shine of a lipgloss. This is what I love about this product as they have everything you could want from a lip product all rolled into one. I also find the formula perfect for everyday wear as even vibrant shades like Lollipop don't look too bold due to  the balm like finish. I have worn this shade on a night out too though and it was perfect. It really reminds me of Impassioned from MAC which is one of my favourite lipsticks. Also I would add that the Lip Butters are really long lasting, which is surprising for a lip balm.
I also have to mention the packaging because it is so pretty and cute. I love the fact each colour comes with a lid to match as it makes finding the colour your looking for much easier.
The only bad thing I would say about them is that they will run out fairly quickly because of their creamy formula. They cost £7.99 each and can currently be purchased from Boots on the 3 for 2 offer. I'd say this is the perfect excuse to treat yourselves. Overall, I love them and I will certainly be buying some more.

I hope your all having a lovely Easter Sunday! I'm going to see Titanic 3D tonight, excited!!

Lots of Love,

Collective Haul

Hey guys! I just wanted to show you all the things I've accumulated lately. To be honest, I really didn't need any of this stuff but because I'm going to Australia next week I wanted a few new bits and bobs to take with me. Am I the only person who always wants nice new things when I go away somewhere? This includes clothes too so prepare for a mahoosive clothing haul this week. The amount of things I have bought lately is ridiculous but I have sold a lot of my old things on ebay again so I figured I'd live by the motto 'out with the old, in with the new' and treat myself. I am going to go through everything I bought in sections so you can have a closer look. Enjoy!

Skincare

Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub
Simple Deep Cleansing Face Mask
Simple Moisture Boost Hydro Mist

I bought these three items on the Boots 3 for 2 offer when I was on the hunt for a new face scrub. My skin has been getting really dry lately so I needed some serious exfoliation. I was originally looking for the St.Ives one I like but I couldn't find it. I decided on Simple in the end as I have used their products before and always found them nice. Along with the scrub I got a face mask and hydro mist. I am especially excited to try the mist and see if it gives my makeup a nice dewy glow.

Face

Sleek Blush by 3 Palette - Shade Pumpkin
Maybelline Cover Stick - Ivory
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - Soft Beige
Real Techniques Powder Brush

After all the hype about the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation and the Sleek Blush by 3 palettes, I just had to have them. I bought the foundation on another 3 for 2 offer along with two Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows that I'll talk about in the next section. I am such a sucker for hyped products but thats the price I pay for being a blogger and being tempted by all the lovely things I see. I have used both of these products and I love them. I won't say too much as I am going to do individual reviews on both of these. The only thing I will say is please don't think I go out looking like a clown. I realise these blushes are almost neon bright but with a light hand they add a lovely flush of colour. I then got a Maybelline Cover Stick after a girl I was on a night out with was using it. Her under-eye area looked so bright (very Kim-K) and she told me she uses this. I have used it a lot since buying it and love it. It makes me look much more awake and has a nice consistency. I bought the lightest shade as I wanted my under-eye area to look bright. I also picked up another one of the Real Techniques brushes on another 3 for 2 offer in Boots. If you read my review of the Core Collection here, you will know I've been loving the Real Techniques brushes lately. I have seen the Powder Brush featured on a few blogs lately and I just loved how big and fluffy it looked. Of course, I had to have it so picked it up with two of the Revlon Lip Butters that I'll talk about in a minute. I haven't used it yet but I will review it when I have.

Eyes

w7 Flutter Eyes Fasle Eyelashes
Clinique Eyeshadow Trio - Shade
Clinique High Impact Mascara - Black
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara - Black
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr - Eternal Gold
Maybelline Color Tatto 24hr - On and on Bronze

I saw these eyelashes whilst I was shopping with my nanna over the weekend on a beauty stall in my local shopping centre. I thought they looked fab and for £2.99 I decided to snap them up. I can't wait to see how they look on as they really remind me of the 140's I usually wear from Eylure. I also picked up the Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara from the same stall at a fraction of its usual price. I think it was around £3.99 which is half the price it retails in Superdrug and Boots. Impressed. Even though I had just got a mascara my nanna had bought two things from Clinique and the lady told us she would receive more freebies if she bought one more item. Not one to turn down freebies, my nanna said I could pick something. I picked this mascara as I have used it before and it's brilliant. So yes, safe to say I'm stocked up on mascara for a while. I then bought two of the Maybelline Colour Tattoo eyeshadows on a Boots 3 for 2 offer meaning I got one of them free, yey. I've seen them on lots of blogs and thought they looked gorgeous. Again, I won't say too much as I will review them in a seperate post. The Clinique eyeshadow trio pictured above is one of the freebies my nanna got for buying the three items. She got two eyeshadow kits so she said I could have this one. Thanks nanna!

Lips

MUA Out There Plumping Lipgloss - Candy Pink
Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss (Mini)
Revlon Lip Butter - Strawberry Shortcake
Revlon Lip Butter - Lollipop
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Whilst I was picking up the Sleek blush palette in Superdrug I decided to get one of the MUA Plumping Lip glosses. I have seen them featured on a few blogs as they are part of MUA's new range. This cost £2.00 instead of the usual £1.00 MUA price tag but it was still a total bargain and I couldn't resist. I love how pretty the packaging looks and although I didn't need anymore lipgloss, its a nice addition to my collection. The mini Clinique gloss was another freebie that my nanna gave me. It is so cute and will be perfect to take on the plane when I go to Australia next week. As I mentioned earlier, I got two of the Revlon Lip Butters on a Boots 3 for 2 offer along with the Real Techniques brush which means I got one of them for free. I seriously love Boots 3 for 2, it is such a perfect time to stock up on makeup. I know these have been hyped about so much on blogs so I won't go into too much detail but I love them. They are so moisturising and have a nice colour pay off. I also got the Lush Bubblegum lip scrub which I have already reviewed here. As you can see, I was obviously loving the pink lips when I bought all of this.

So there we have it, everything I've bought recently. I realised this is a long post and sorry if it bored you but I have bought quite a lot and I like to explain things in my posts instead of just saying 'hey look what I got' and a few pictures. if you would like to see any of the products I bought reviewed in more detail, please let me know.
Have you ever tried any of these things?

Lots of Love,
