Hey Ladies! I have been wanting to do an 'every day' makeup post for a while now but after a few failed attempts at taking blog worthy pictures with my point and shoot camera, I decided to wait until I got my DSLR as the quality is a million times better. I recently got the Canon EOS 600D and I am in love with it. The quality is out of this world and I am so happy I can finally do more face of the day type posts. I love how it shows up every detail of my makeup and doesn't blur anything out or mesh the colours together like a lot of cheaper cameras tend to.

The reason I have been wanting to to do an every day makeup post is because I love seeing other bloggers everyday looks and over the years I have watched tonnes of 'every day makeup' videos on youtube. I often think we see bloggers doing glam makeup looks and the  more natural, simple makeup looks can often be forgotten about. As much as I love falsies and heavy smokey eyes on a night out, I also like to embrace the natural look when I'm not going anywhere too fancy and love to see what other girls wear on a day to day basis.

With this being said, I am going to talk you through how I created the above look. I have been wearing the same look on a day to day basis for a couple of months now and I love how it looks natural but still has a pop of colour to brighten my face up. It is very quick and easy to create to, on average it takes me around 10/15 minutes from start to finish and I think it would suit most skin tones.

Step 1 - First I apply the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in shade 'Soft Beige' all over my face using a Real Techniques buffing brush. I tend to use two pumps to cover my whole face and I make sure it is completely buffed into my skin to avoid any unwanted tide lines. I love this foundation for day to day wear as it really brightens up my complexion and isn't too heavy.

Step 2 - I then apply an under eye concealer. In these photos above I used the Maybelline Cover Stick in the shade 'Ivory' as the super light shade helps to cover any dark circles and brighten up my eyes. I dab this under my eyes and the inner corners and blend it out with my ring finger. I have also been using Benefit Erase paste so I will normally just use the one I grab first.

Step 3 - I then powder my whole face using the Real Techniques powder brush with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish natural in the shade 'Medium'. This gives the skin a light coverage but just enough to control any shine.

Step 4 - I then apply NARS Laguna bronzer under my cheekbones, on my temples and down my nose. I usually use a MAC kabuki brush but if I want to take more time on contouring I will use the Real Techniques contour brush.

Step 5 - I then apply MAC MSF in the shade 'Gold Deposit' along the top of my cheekbones to give my skin a bronze glow.

Step 6 - I then move on to my eyes where I start with my eyebrows. I try to keep them fairly natural looking so I dust a teeny bit of Benefit Brow Zings dark powder through mid to end section. I tend to concentrate on the mid to outer sections of my brow as I'm not keen on them looking too heavy during the day.

Step 7 - I then move on to eyeshadow and lately I have been reaching for the NARS duo 'Isolde'. I find this little duo so handy as it is all I need to create a whole look. I apply the light gold shade all over my lid using a MAC 239 brush and the darker shade in my crease using the Sigma E35 brush. I then buff both shades together to blend them and remove any harsh lines.

Step 8 - I then apply MAC 'Feline' eye pencil to my waterline as I find the deep black shade looks great against my light blue eyes. I only apply a small amount for a day to day look but I would apply more for a night out along with a liquid liner for my upper lash line.

Step 9 - The next step is mascara. I have been loving the Revlon Grow Luscious mascara lately so I curl my lashes and apply two coats of this to my top and bottom lashes to open up my eyes.

Step 10 - I then apply a quick coat of lipstick depending on which one takes my fancy. In the photo above I am wearing Revlon Lollipop lip butter as it is vibrant without being too over the top. As you all probably know by now, I love a bright lip so I always tend to wear a berry pink or orange day or night.

So there we have it, my everyday makeup routine. I know you may think it seems a lot of steps for ten minutes but it really doesn't take as long as it may sound. This morning I got out of bed at 7.15, had a shower, applied my makeup and was still ready by 7.30. Maybe I'm just super quick at getting ready? 8) How long does it take you to do your every day face?

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I wear my makeup on an everyday basis and let me know if you would like to see any more of these step by step type posts.

I hope you are all well!

Lots of Love,

Hey Guys! So you may have noticed that I have only blogged once in the past five days which for me is not a lot. I usually try blogging every other day or every two days at least to keep you all constantly updated with new posts. However, on Friday my friend Camille from the UK arrived in Australia so its safe to say it has been none stop. She decided to come to Australia and see me as she is going to her friends wedding in Bali which is on the way to Oz anyway so it made sense to do both. It was so lovely to see her as I haven't seen any of my family or friends in England for the past five months. My boyfriend and I drove down to Brisbane on Friday to meet her and we stayed in a gorgeous hotel with an amazing view on Friday and Saturday night. We had an absolute blast both nights eating nice meals, going on a boat ride, swimming in South Bank, sipping on wine and partying in swishy night clubs. We also had the funniest experience ever which involved a man riding a bike while we sat in a seat on the back. Apparently its the done thing in Oz to ride in these taxi/bike things but I had never seen them before. The guy who was riding us back to our hotel was slightly nuts too so at one point he was going faster than the cars around us. He was even blasting out a bit of Jay Z which made the whole situation even funnier.

The first two outfits I have included above are what I wore for the two nights we spent in Brisbane. On the first night we went for a meal and drinks over at South Bank so I wore this dipped hem top with leggings. I absolutely love the top as it was comfortable to wear and looked dressy without being too OTT. On the second night I wore this gorgeous River Island peplum top paired with a body con skirt as we were going out to a night club and I wanted to look a bit more glammed up. Again, I loved the top and found the style very flattering on my curvy figure. Both nights I wore my tan wedges from Matalan as they are the comfiest shoes ever. They were cheap as chips and I have worn them over and over again. Yay for Matalan!

On Sunday we got up early, checked out of our hotel and set off on the drive back to my dads house which is in a town around 3 hours away from Brisbane. On our way home we stopped at a gorgeous place called Noosa for some lunch and a stroll along the beautiful beach. We then drove back to my dads house for a BBQ and drinks. We had a chilled night chatting and watching Aussie X Factor which was amazing by the way. I seriously urge all of you to Youtube Josh Brookes audition as UNREAL is not even the word for that guy.

On Monday we had another day of chilling after our busy Brisbane weekend and then headed down to Hervey Bay in the evening which is a Queensland tourist destination with an amazing beach, bars and restaurants. We stayed down there for two nights and again had an amazing time. On Monday night we went out for a meal and drinks so I wore this cute floral skater dress with my ankle boots. I wasn't sure how they'd look together as first but my boyfriend assured me it looked nice. I think this outfit will look great in the winter too paired with black tights.

Yesterday was Camille's last day here so we had a fun day riding down Hervey Bay esplanade on a three seater bike, sunbathing and swimming in the sea. We decided to have an early meal and a couple of drinks last night as Camille's flight to Bali was very early this morning. We went to an Australian cuisine restaurant and we all tried Kangaroo. I was pretty amazed at myself as I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food and I actually really enjoyed it. I wore this aztec dress to dinner and again paired it with my ankle boots. This is probably my favourite outfit as I am slightly obsessed with anything aztec and love this white H&M blazer. I always feel very Kim K when I wear it for some reason.

Overall, we have a brilliant five days and managed to squeeze a lot of fun things into such a short space of time. I realise this post is both picture and word heavy but I wanted to do one big post showing you all the outfits I have been wearing instead of four separate ones. I'm glad I can return to my usual blogging habits now too as I have actually missed it these past few days. Does that make me really sad? 8).

I hope you are all well and had an excellent weekend. Which is your favourite outfit?

Lots of Love,

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick | Berry Haute

Hey Girls! I recently picked up this Revlon lipstick and as it is so bloomin lovely, I just have to share it with you all. If you read my blog regularly you may know I'm loving Revlon products at the moment as I think they have really upped their game lately. My growing obsession probably begin with the lip butters but I'm glad as they have opened my eyes to the wonders of Revlon and their beautiful products. From mascara to nail polish and lip gloss, I haven't been disappointed by any of the products I have bought in the past few months and this lipstick is no exception.

If you read my OPI nail post you will know that I was having a rummage around in a discount health and beauty store when I came across a few bargains. Well, this Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick was among those bargains. I paid around 5.00 for this which isn't bad for a revlon product. Especially in Australia as makeup is crazily expensive here. Definitely not good for a beauty lover like myself.

I had been after a deep berry/purple lipstick for quite some time after seeing a few celebrities and bloggers wearing it. I love how it's a bit different and I thought it would really stand out against my blonde hair. As soon as I swatched this one by Revlon, it was exactly what I had been looking for. It is a deep berry pink shade with hints of purple. It isn't quite as dramatic as I initially had in mind but I thought it would be better to get something a little more subtle to start off with. I can always progress with a darker shade if this one goes down well 8).

As well as loving the colour of this lipstick, the formula is absolutely lovely. It is creamy, pigmented and feels moisturising on my lips. I would say it has a 'satin' finish if you were to compare this with the MAC lipstick finishes. It isn't matte but it isn't sheer or too glossy. It gives my lips an opaque coverage after one swipe and adds a lovely subtle sheen. It is also really long lasting and I had to give my lips a good scrub to get the colour completely off.

What do you think of the purple lip trend? Have you tried any Revlon lipsticks?

Lots of Love,

NOTD | OPI Mauving to Manitoba

Hi Ladies! If you read my haul post yesterday, you will know that I recently picked up an OPI nail polish in the shade 'Mauving to Manitoba'. I spotted this in a discount health and beauty shop (cheap skate ha!) and just couldn't resist the bargain. Now I don't know if its just me but I'm one of these people that just can't justify spending a fortune on nail polish. I realise its lovely and I do enjoy using it but I personally prefer to spend my money on makeup, skin and hair care products. I managed to get this for 12 dollars which is around 7-8 pounds so still on the pricey side but I guess its better than OPI's normal £10/11 price tag.

When rummaging through all of the available shades, I was instantly drawn to this one. As with all OPI nail polishes, the bottle is big and sturdy and this shade in particular has a gorgeous marble effect running through it which makes the bottle look even prettier than usual. The way I would describe this shade is a mix between mauve, purple, pink and red. It is really unusual and nothing like I have ever used before. I must also add that the shine this polish gives my nails is incredible. After only one coat my nails looked sparkling. I love nothing more than super shiny nails so this was a big plus for me.

As with all nail polishes I use, I did apply two coats but the colour was almost opaque after the first. I love the consistency of OPI polishes as they glide on to the nails like a dream without being too gloopy or too watery thin. I also noticed it began to dry pretty quickly but I still applied my Sally Hansen Insta Dri over the top to speed things up. (Mrs Impatient!)

I have had this on my nails for a few days now and it still looks super shiny and relatively chip free. I say relatively because I scuffed a few of them at work but that's my fault not the nail polishes. All in all, I really love this shade and think it is one of those go to colours that will go with almost any makeup or outfit that I wear. I can see why people do go wild for these nail polishes and if I had more money I would love to add a few more to my collection. However, I still think Barry M does the job for 2.99. 8)

If you fancy having a splurge on this gorgeous nail polish, I have hunted it down on Amazon here for £8.39 which is a little bit cheaper than normal.

What do you think of OPI? Do you dislike spending lots of money on nail polish like me?

Lots of Love,

Shopaholic Problems | Collective Haul

Caudalie Cleansing Water
Palmers Cocoa Moisturizing Body Oil
Garnier Fructis Pure Volume Dry Shampoo
Schwartzcopf Ultimate Repair Treatment Mousse
OPI Mauving to Manitoba
The Body Shop Body Butters - Strawberry & Mango
Revlon 'Berry Haute' Lipstick
Ankle Boots - Dotti
Floral Peplum Top - River Island
Dipped Hem Aztec Top - Cotton On
Double Chain Spike Necklace - Diva
Spiked Collar Necklace - Dotti
Spike Double Ring - Lovisa

Hey Ladies! I hope you are all well. I haven't posted a haul for a while so I thought I would show you some of the things I have been buying over the past few weeks. I bought some of these things with my birthday money and a few of the others were gifts. I went to Brisbane a few weeks back so my boyfriend treat me to this gorgeous double ring from an amazing jewellery shop called Lovisa. I walked into the shop and could of bought everything in there - there was four walls covered from top to bottom in amazingly gorgeous jewellery *heaven*. As you can probably tell from the jewellery I have accumulated, I am loving spikes at the moment. Anything spiked is a winner for me and I must get my hands on a pair of spiked shoes ASAP.

I am also loving the peplum and dipped hem trends that have been popping up everywhere so I decided to treat myself to these two tops. I bought the RI one with my birthday money and I love it. It is such a flattering shape and can be dressed up or down which is always a bonus. I will be wearing it this weekend as I'm going to Brisbane (again!) so look out for an outfit post featuring it. As for the dipped hem top, I loved it as soon as I saw it. I'm a bit mad on aztec print so it instantly caught my eye. I bought it from an Australian shop called Cotton On which sells really affordable and on-trend clothing and accessories. This top only cost me around £17.00 so I thought it was quite the bargain. I will also be wearing this at the weekend so hopefully I will get some pictures for an outfit post.

I have also bought a few random beauty products lately that I didn't really need but couldn't resist anyway. My boyfriend bought me the body butters and Caudalie cleansing water as part of my birthday present and I bought everything else when I was in Brisbane or shopping at the supermarket haha. Is it just me that is always attracted to the 'toiletries' isle in supermarkets? Anyway, look out for reviews on all of these products as I have been really enjoying using them.

Now my absolute favourite thing from this bunch has to be these gorgeous ankle boots. I have wanted some boots like this for such a long time so when I spotted these whilst shopping in Brisbane, I just had to have them. Me and the boy went half's on them (he's a good egg!) so I didn't pay too much and I just know I will get so much wear out of them in Autumn/Winter. They will go with almost anything! Yey!!

So there we have it, my shopaholic tendencies got the better of me again. I will probably buy more in Brisbane this weekend - I just can't resist. I may as well make the most of it while I can though as I will be going on a strict spending ban when I return to the UK. Boo.

Have you treat yourself to anything recently?

Lots of Love,

10 Things I Wish I Could Afford ...

Hi Ladies! Last night I was thinking about all the things I want but just can't afford to buy at the minute. As sad as this makes me, it gave me an idea for a new post. I have seen people doing 'weekly wishlists' on their blogs so I thought I would create one of my own. I have picked ten things that I've been lusting after and I thought I'd give a quick summary of why I need to get my mitts on each of these things.

1. Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch - This has been on my wish list for ages now and I'm pretty sure it will stay there until I somehow rustle up the money to buy it. These watches are a bit of a beauty bloggers fave and for me, I'm no exception. I especially love this rose gold one I have picked out, I think it looks cool yet classy at the same time. For all you lucky ladies who already own one of these - I am utterly jealous! I wish santa would hurry up so I can write him my list ;).

2. YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick - Again, I have been lusting after one of these lipsticks for quite some time now. Another beauty bloggers fave and I can 100% see why. Just look at that beautiful, intricate gold packaging? Isn't it just to die for? I recently swatched these lipsticks in Brisbane and instantly fell in love. Creamy, pigmented and amazingly beautiful to look at. What more could a girl want?

3. NARS Duo Eyeshadow - Since receiving the 'Isolde' duo for my birthday, I have decided I need more of these in my life. They are some of the most pigmented eyeshadows I have ever used and so handy for travelling. They have a massive range of shades and I have been eyeing up 'Kalahari' in particular.

4. Studded Shoes - Yes, that's right. Studded shoes. It doesn't matter where they come from, I just need a pair. I absolutely love the whole studded trend whether its jewellery, shirts or shoes. These particular ones are from Topshop for reference and I love them. I think they are perfect to wear with skinny jeans or leggings and instantly spruce up an otherwise boring outfit. I may have to treat myself to these even though I'm currently poor. I'll just have to class them as a Autumn/Winter essential. Hmmmmm.

5. Topshop Blazer -Every time I go on the Topshop website, this jumps out at me. I don't know why I do it to myself, it's torture. Theres nothing worse than knowing you would get so much wear out of something but still not being able to justify spending money. I'm not much of a jacket wearer so most of the time you will find me in blazers, whatever the weather. I live in my black blazer and feel like I need a new colour to mix things up a bit. I love this beige one as it will go with almost every piece of clothing I own. I also love that blazers can instantly spruce up a plain outfit. Someone buy it for me? Pleaseeeee 8).

6. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation - I have heard great things about this foundation and as a huge NARS fan, I'd love to try this. The name Sheer Glow really appears to me as I love nothing more than glowy, dewy skin. Has anyone ever tried this?

7. Miss Dior Cherie Perfume - After having a few sniffs of this, I am in love. It has such a beautiful sweet girly scent and the bottle is so gorgeous and girly. It will definitely be my next perfume purchase.

8. Inglot Eyeshadows - A few months ago I bought the 10 pan freedom eyeshadow palette from Inglot. At the time I bought three eyeshadows and I absolutely love them. They are creamy, pigmented and best of all, cheap. I would love to get my hands on another seven shades to fill my palette but until I have money, they will have to remain on my wish list. *sobs*.

9. Origins Gin Zing Eye Cream - Again, this is a fairly hyped product on the beauty blogging scene and all the good reviews have got me longing to try it out for myself. I really like the idea of a brightening eye cream as I often find my eyes look quite dull and tired in the mornings. Have you tried this product? Does it live up to the hype?

10. MAC Heavenly Creatures Collection - I recently swatched the new Heavenly creatures collection and everything was so gorgeous. I love the Mineralize products from MAC so this is my ideal collection. I particularly loved the Mineralize Skinfinishes, blushes and eyeshadows. So basically everything then? Yeah. Why are you so expensive MAC? Boo!

Do you own any of the things on my wish list? Which products are you lusting after at the moment?

Lots of Love,

Australia Adventures | Fraser Island & Brisbane

Hi Guys! So todays post is a general life post showing you all what I got up to over the weekend. I had such a  great time and got so many nice pictures that I thought it would be a shame not to share them. My weekend started on Thursday when my dad invited my boyfriend and I over to Fraser Island for the day. If you've never heard of Fraser Island before, it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is basically a huge sand island and the beaches/resorts on the island are stunning. As my dad sometimes goes over there with work he said we could join him on the barge across for a free day trip. Obviously I wasn't going to pass this up and me and Matt jumped at the chance.

When we arrived at the island we had a mooch around the shops, and then hit the beach (pictured above). It was a gorgeous sunny day so we sunbathed and napped on the beach until lunch time when we went to one of the resorts Kingfisher Bay for some lunch. It was pure luxury at the resort - palm trees, swimming pools and great food. I had grilled Barramundi, lemon butter, chips and salad for my lunch - Delicious!

We then went back to the beach to see that the tied had gone in. The beach now looked like a mud bath so being the mature pair that we are, we decided to have a play around in the mud and chase crabs across the beach. There was absolutely hundreds of them and whenever we got too close they would bury themselves in the sand. You may think it sounds gross but it was probably the highlight of my day. I got some hilarious video evidence too - if only I was on Youtube. Anyway, thats just a small round up of our day. It was muchos fun and I would totally recommend Fraser Island to anyone if you live in Australia or are planning a visit.

On Friday me and my family travelled down to Brisbane to watch the Broncos play at the Suncorp Stadium. To be honest, I'm not a huge sports fan so it was mainly for my dad and boyfriend but I enjoyed it none the less. My litter brother was hilarious, he kept pointing at the cheerleaders saying 'I like them girls, they've got bums and boobies!' which made me giggle to say the least haha. After the game we went to a 24-hour pancake parlour that had every type of pancakes imaginable. I just went plain with syrup but check out that chocolatey plate of yumminess my boyfriend had. After that we went back to our hotel as we were all shattered. Our hotel was slap bang in the city centre and the views were out of this world. They were over looking the whole city and it was so lovely to look out on the balcony and watch the world pass by.

On Saturday we got up early and popped into the city centre for a bit of shopping. I got a few bits and bobs which I will be posting about soon so keep a look out for that. After we had some breakfast and a stroll around the shops, we decided to have a wander to South Bank. On our way we came across a man with his dog doing a live street show. There was quite the crowd gathering around so we decided to stop and have a watch. Oh my goodness, it was  so funny and my brother even got picked from the audience to be part of the act. It was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time, the guy had brilliant banter and his dog was crazy. It was jumping through rings, sitting on his head and performing all sorts of crazy tricks. My brother was hilarious too as he had to ride around on this teeny tiny silver bike. We were all howling as he kept falling off and the man was really winding him up. He was such a good sport though and we were all so proud of him for getting up there in front of all those people.

When we finally got down to South Bank, as per usual, I was in awe. It is one of my favourite places in the whole world and if you have never been it is basically a tonne of man-made lagoons right by the river. As you can see on the picture above, it is absolutely gorgeous and I love the idea of having somewhere to relax like this in a busy city. They also have a man-made beach but unfortunately that was under reconstruction so I couldn't get any photos.

In the evening we went out for a meal and drinks where my dad had a hilarious encounter with a hideous piece of chicken. He ordered tumeric chicken with rice and it just looked herrendous. The rest of our meals were lovely and he was left with this awful gloopy piece of crap. It seriously looked like something you would see dead on the street. It was highly amusing though and all he kept saying was 'it just isn't appealing!' in a shocked voice hahaha just the thought of it makes me chuckle!

Today we went to Westfield shopping centre at Chermside to do some more shopping and then drove home. All in all, I have had an excellent three days and loved every minute of it.

What did you get up to this weekend?

Lots of Love,

Lash Saviour | Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara - £9.99 - Link

Hey Ladies! My second Revlon review in two days, can you tell I'm a fan? ;) I bought this product a couple of months ago after running out of my beloved Blink & Go mascara and have only recently come to the end of the tube. I had a voucher to get a free product from Revlon so I decided that since I needed one, I would buy a new mascara. I had never tried a Revlon mascara before but the packaging and name of this product really appealed to me. I love the green and silver exterior and the brush looked big and fluffy which is what I look for as I find they create more volume.

If you follow me on Instagram (@kayleighjcouture), you will know that I recently got semi-permanent eyelash extensions and although I loved them at first, they began to really irritate my eyes and in the end I hated them. With this being said, I would sit and pick at my lashes in the hope the false ones would come off. BAD MOVE Kayleigh, bad move. I ended up pulling half of my natural eyelashes out and was left with bald patches (see 'before' picture). I was absolutely gutted I hadn't just waited to get them taken off professionally but I can't even begin to tell you how much they were irritating my eyes. The glue felt clumpy, the lashes were pointing in five thousand different directions and I hated the fact I couldn't wear mascara. I really like the look of mascara on lashes as it opens and defines the eyes so the fact I couldn't wear it bugged me. Anyway, lesson learnt and I shall not be getting lash extensions ever again.

Anyway, as my lashes were looking far from attractive I needed a mascara that really lengthened and separated the lashes I did have left. This is when I realised how amazing this mascara is. As you can see from the before and after photos above, my lashes were totally transformed after applying this product. The brush is the perfect size to cover all of my lashes, they instantly looked thicker, longer and the bald patches seemed to dissapear. I was pretty amazed to see what a difference this made to my eyes and it certainly helped disguise my mangled lashes. I feel ten times more confident when wearing this on my eyes and it stays put all day. The shade I bought was 'Blackened Brown' but when I was buying it I thought I'd picked up the standard black. I wasn't too bothered though as this shade made my lashes look super dark.

Thankfully, since I took the above pictures a couple of weeks ago, my lashes have almost grown back. However, as I have lost lashes when I was younger, I have noticed they have grown much quicker whilst using this mascara. As it is called 'grow luscious', I am presuming there is an ingredients in there that helps stimulate growth? I have seen a visible improvement in my lashes whilst using this but that could just be my mind playing tricks on me.

The only bad thing I would say about this mascara is that it is quite flaky and will crumble off the lashes pretty easily. However, this is something I am willing to deal with as my lashes look long, volumised and defined when wearing this mascara. If you don't like big brushes, thick mascara and lashes then this probably isn't for you but I officially love it. Nothing makes me feel better than huge glamorous eyelashes! Yey!

P.S - Sorry for the bad quality before and after photos. It was too difficult to take a picture of my own eye with a huge SLR so these are from my Iphone. Apologies.

Have you tried this mascara or any others from Revlon?
What do you think of eyelash extensions?

Lots of Love,

Revlon NOTD | Classy Sparkles

Revlon Nail Polishes - Classy & Sparkling

Hey Ladies! I spotted these two nail polishes whilst out shopping recently and thought they were such pretty neutrals that I just had to buy them. Now I'm not the most adventurous person when it comes to nails, I usually stick with bog standard plain polishes and haven't the foggiest how to do nail art. I really wish I could do that pretty Kath Kidston floral look on my mitts but unless I go to a professional, it's just not going to happen. With that being said, something like a glitter polish is my best friend in the nail department as they instantly spruce up a basic polish. The fact I'm partial to a bit of glitter from time to time meant I just couldn't resist this bottle of gorgeous pink glitteryness. As glitter can be quite in your face, I like to keep it fairly subtle hence the neutral colours and as soon as I bought these my plan was to paint my nails with 'classy' the pale peachy pink shade and layer 'sparkling' the glitter over the top to add a more interesting twist.

To be honest, Revlon is never a brand I would normally look at for nail polishes but since being in Australia I have got more and more into them as they seem to be a lot more popular out here than they are in the UK. I am glad I have found a new love for them though as the packaging and product itself is absolutely lovely. I think the packaging makes the product look more expensive than it actually is with the sleek black lids and gold revlon branding. They are also fairly large bottles with 14ml of product inside so you get a good amount of product for your money.

The formula of these polishes is lovely, I'd describe them as being quite 'wet' but I like that in a nail polish. Theres nothing worse than trying to apply a polish that is really thick and gloopy. I did need to do two coats to achieve an opaque finish but I find this is pretty standard with most nail polishes and didn't mind at all. As you can see from the photos above, the finished result turned out cute and glittery yet still subtle at the same time. I love the pale peach shade and I think it would look even better if I was a bit more tanned. I also like how the glitter has bigger chunks which catch the light nicely. I only applied one coat of the glitter but it could be built up with a few more coats. I also think this combination would look perfect on toe nails.

As I said, I bought these in Australia but they are widely available the high street and online and retail for £6.49. Both of these shades are available on the Boots website here.

I hope you enjoyed this post as nail posts aren't something I do very often. As I said, I'm a bit poop with nails but I would highly recommend giving the Revlon range a try.

Have you ever tried any Revlon nail polishes?

Lots of Love,
