If you read my blog regularly, I’m sure you’re all aware by now that I’m partial to a lipstick or two (or fifty – but who’s counting) and the latest lippe to make its way into my collection is one renowned for being the most beautifully packaged lipstick ever- YSL Rouge Volupte. I received this along with the YSL Touché Eclat as a belated birthday present from my dad so as you can imagine, I was overjoyed when I opened the package. I do own one other Rouge Volupte lipstick which I've reviewed herebut they’re far too expensive to buy on a regular basis so it was nice to receive some luxurious makeup treats.

As I said, YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks have to be one of, it not thee most beautifully packaged products I’ve ever seen. The gold tube and YSL engraving take it from a basic lipstick to a high-end, luxurious and special product. A lipstick like this reminds me of something a bride would wear on her wedding day – it screams class and elegance. Other than the amazing packaging which I could quite possibly stare at all day long, the product inside is just as beautiful.

The shade my dad picked for me (although I have an inkling my step-mum might of lent a helping hand) is number one ‘Nude Beige’, a beautiful pale pink. I have to admit when I first saw the name included ‘beige’ I was concerned it would be a super pale ‘corpse lips’ nude shade and I definitely don’t suit that look. Some people can pull an extremely pale lip off but me, no no no. They just make me look ill. However, much to my relief, the shade isn’t too pale at all and instead is the perfect everyday baby pink. Its the kind of shade I’ll be able to wear on an everyday basis for work or in the evening paired with a smoky eye. Its very Kim Kardashian!

My favourite thing about these lipsticks (other than the packaging) has got to be the formula. My favourite kind of lipsticks are creamy, moisturising and pigmented and the Rouge Volupte lipsticks are the best combination of those three qualities I’ve ever come across. They glide onto my lips like butter, hide a multitude of dry-lip sins, feel incredibly moisturising and have an opaque pigmentation with a high-shine finish. Perfect!

Other than the high £24.50 price tag, I cannot fault the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks. I love everything about them and even though they aren’t very long-lasting due to the creamy formula, I can’t say I mind pulling something this glamorous out of my handbag to re-apply. You can find Nude Beige here along with all the other pretty colour choices. I want them all!

Do you like the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks? Can you recommend any shades?

Lots of Love,

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick | Le Orange

Hi Ladies! I hope you're all well. Today I'm sharing a new addition to my ever growing lipstick collection and I have to say - its the most beautiful addition yet. I was bought this YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipstick as a Christmas gift from my Dad and Step-mum and I have to say, its truly stunning! Firstly, just look at the packaging. I have to admit I'm a bit of a sucker for nice packaging and YSL lipsticks completely blow any other brand out of the water. Unlike the round Rouge Volupte lipsticks (I've reviewed mine here), the Rouge Pur Couture formula comes in a pure gold 'box' tube with the YSL letters engraved on the clasp and the lipstick itself. Just beautiful!

Another difference between the Rouge Volupte lipsticks and Rouge Pur Couture is the shape of the actual lipstick. The Volupte lipsticks are very thin with a flat top whereas the Rouge Pur Couture formula is shaped like your standard lipstick - a pointed 'bullet' so to speak. I actually much prefer the shape of a standard lipstick as I find them easier to apply, sturdier and I also find they tend to last longer. So, now I've got what they look like out of the way, what do I think of the lipstick itself? I have one word for you - LOVE!

No word of a lie this is the most incredible lipstick I own. I've never applied something so creamy and luxurious to my lips. The colour glides on with absolute ease, a tonne of pigmentation (the above photo was one swipe for reference) and the formula is so moisturising and glossy. I don't own any other lipsticks that give my lips the amount of pigmentation, moisture and gloss that this one provides. Of course I own lipsticks that do those things pretty darn well but this one is on another level of amazingness.

The colour I've got is 'Le Orange', a vibrant red toned orange which has to be one of my all time favourite shades to wear. I own an array of similar shades from MAC Lady Danger to Topshop Rio Rio and this one is by far my favourite. The colour works perfectly on my skin tone and even when applied over my awful chapped lips it doesn't cling to any dry patches and leaves me with a nourished, healthy and glossy looking pout. In the photo above I applied it straight from the bullet with no lipliner and no prepping of my lips. My lips are always dry and chapped so as you can see, it really does hide a multitude of lip troubles.

The only bad thing about this lippie is of course the price. One of these little babies will set you back a whopping £25.00 (I know, crazy!) but for a special occasion, birthday present or even just a treat for yourself, I can't recommend you try one enough. I personally prefer this formula to the Rouge Volupte which I know a lot of people love (myself included!), so that shows how amazing I think this product is.

If you're willing to splurge and want a bit of luxury in your life, give one of these a go! You can buy them here from Feel Unique with free delivery and if 'Le Orange' isn't to your taste, they have a large selection of other beautiful shades too.

Have you tried any YSL lipsticks? Do you think they're worth the splurge?

Lots of Love,

10 Things I Wish I Could Afford ...

Hi Ladies! Last night I was thinking about all the things I want but just can't afford to buy at the minute. As sad as this makes me, it gave me an idea for a new post. I have seen people doing 'weekly wishlists' on their blogs so I thought I would create one of my own. I have picked ten things that I've been lusting after and I thought I'd give a quick summary of why I need to get my mitts on each of these things.

1. Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch - This has been on my wish list for ages now and I'm pretty sure it will stay there until I somehow rustle up the money to buy it. These watches are a bit of a beauty bloggers fave and for me, I'm no exception. I especially love this rose gold one I have picked out, I think it looks cool yet classy at the same time. For all you lucky ladies who already own one of these - I am utterly jealous! I wish santa would hurry up so I can write him my list ;).

2. YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick - Again, I have been lusting after one of these lipsticks for quite some time now. Another beauty bloggers fave and I can 100% see why. Just look at that beautiful, intricate gold packaging? Isn't it just to die for? I recently swatched these lipsticks in Brisbane and instantly fell in love. Creamy, pigmented and amazingly beautiful to look at. What more could a girl want?

3. NARS Duo Eyeshadow - Since receiving the 'Isolde' duo for my birthday, I have decided I need more of these in my life. They are some of the most pigmented eyeshadows I have ever used and so handy for travelling. They have a massive range of shades and I have been eyeing up 'Kalahari' in particular.

4. Studded Shoes - Yes, that's right. Studded shoes. It doesn't matter where they come from, I just need a pair. I absolutely love the whole studded trend whether its jewellery, shirts or shoes. These particular ones are from Topshop for reference and I love them. I think they are perfect to wear with skinny jeans or leggings and instantly spruce up an otherwise boring outfit. I may have to treat myself to these even though I'm currently poor. I'll just have to class them as a Autumn/Winter essential. Hmmmmm.

5. Topshop Blazer -Every time I go on the Topshop website, this jumps out at me. I don't know why I do it to myself, it's torture. Theres nothing worse than knowing you would get so much wear out of something but still not being able to justify spending money. I'm not much of a jacket wearer so most of the time you will find me in blazers, whatever the weather. I live in my black blazer and feel like I need a new colour to mix things up a bit. I love this beige one as it will go with almost every piece of clothing I own. I also love that blazers can instantly spruce up a plain outfit. Someone buy it for me? Pleaseeeee 8).

6. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation - I have heard great things about this foundation and as a huge NARS fan, I'd love to try this. The name Sheer Glow really appears to me as I love nothing more than glowy, dewy skin. Has anyone ever tried this?

7. Miss Dior Cherie Perfume - After having a few sniffs of this, I am in love. It has such a beautiful sweet girly scent and the bottle is so gorgeous and girly. It will definitely be my next perfume purchase.

8. Inglot Eyeshadows - A few months ago I bought the 10 pan freedom eyeshadow palette from Inglot. At the time I bought three eyeshadows and I absolutely love them. They are creamy, pigmented and best of all, cheap. I would love to get my hands on another seven shades to fill my palette but until I have money, they will have to remain on my wish list. *sobs*.

9. Origins Gin Zing Eye Cream - Again, this is a fairly hyped product on the beauty blogging scene and all the good reviews have got me longing to try it out for myself. I really like the idea of a brightening eye cream as I often find my eyes look quite dull and tired in the mornings. Have you tried this product? Does it live up to the hype?

10. MAC Heavenly Creatures Collection - I recently swatched the new Heavenly creatures collection and everything was so gorgeous. I love the Mineralize products from MAC so this is my ideal collection. I particularly loved the Mineralize Skinfinishes, blushes and eyeshadows. So basically everything then? Yeah. Why are you so expensive MAC? Boo!

Do you own any of the things on my wish list? Which products are you lusting after at the moment?

Lots of Love,
