OOTN | Primark Playsuit

Playsuit - Primark
Boots - Garage
Bag - Louis Vuitton
Watch - DKNY

Hi Ladies! I hope you are all well. My mum, step dad and sister came to visit me in Newcastle this weekend so on Saturday we went into the city centre to do a spot of 'Christmas shopping. Of course I found myself being drawn into the likes of Primark and couldn't resist buying myself a few pay day treats. I'm really loving it in there at the moment and some of the current stock could easily be mistaken for the likes of Topshop. I bought myself a few things (haul coming soon) and my lovely mum bought me this cute black playsuit with a leopard print collar. It was quite the bargain at £15 and I think it is perfect for both day and night wear. I decided to wear it on Saturday as we were going out for a meal but as I didn't want my bare legs on show in a restaurant (I'll save that for a night on the town), I paired it with some sheer black tights and my studded shoe boots. I popped a thin tan belt around the middle of the playsuit and taaa daaah, outfit complete.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, playsuits are such handy items of clothing to own as they can be thrown on in a matter of seconds to create an effortless yet stylish outfit. I think this one would also look great paired with some thicker tights and chelsea boots for a more casual look and as I said earlier with bare legs, killer heels and a clutch bag for a night on the town. I also noticed that the material feels very thick and good quality which makes a change from the flimsy pieces you sometimes find in Primark. I can see myself getting lots of wear out of this as I think its a flattering, fun and cute little outfit. Thumbs up for you Primark.

Do you like wearing playsuits?

Lots of Love,

Hi Ladies! I haven't done a haul post for a while now so I thought it was about time I shared some of my recent purchases with you all. I'd just like to point out I didn't buy all of this at once, probably over the past couple of weeks or so. As soon as I found out I'd landed myself a job I just had to treat myself so I bought the River Island dress and Garage shoes that are featured in my last post here and I am in love with the both. It was nice to finally be able to buy a nice new outfit and not feel guilty about it. I also had to get myself some new work wear which is the reason behind my other purchases. The good thing about my new job is that their isn't a strict dress code so even though we have to look smart we can pretty much wear whatever we want. We also have 'dress down Fridays' where we can wear casual clothes and 'fashionable' clothes so this obviously called for a few new bits and bobs for my wardrobe.

As you can see I bought myself a coupe of black skirts as they will go with absolutely everything, a sheer blouse that I LOVE, a cute little skater dress and a blazer. Apart from the skater skirt which is from Topshop, all of these items are from Primark. The Primark in Newcastle city centre was being refurbished over the summer while I was in Australia but as I didn't have a job I couldn't bare the thought of going in there without any money. However, as soon as I got the call telling me I'd got the job, one of the first thing on my to-do's list was going for a trip to Primark. All I can say is oh my goodness, Primark have UPPED THEIR GAME! I literally wanted everything but as I haven't actually been paid yet I had to reign it in and stick to the 'essentials' - we'll call them that so I feel better about my shopaholic ways.

As for 'unessentials', I bought myself this cute little missguided studded cropped top a few weeks ago before I even found out I had a job. Tut, tut, slap on the wrist for me. I do love it though and think it will look super cute with a high-waisted skirt. Continuing the studded theme I bought some ballet pumps to wear for work that are embellished with a bow and studs and I also bought this studded clutch bag for my friend Debra's birthday. I really wanted to buy one for myself too but I have one almost identical in black so I thought buying another while I'm skint might be a teeny bit greedy. I do love it though so I might re-consider this 8).

So there we go, all the lovely clothing and accessories I have been buying lately. I was rather gutted last week as after buying all this I found out I have a £250 bill to pay and have almost NO money left. Why do things like that always happen at the most inconvenient of times? Ah well, it's a good job I'm getting paid at the end of this month. Bring it on.

Have you bought yourself anything nice lately?

Lots of Love,

OOTN | Sixties Studs

Dress | River Island - Link
Boots | Garage - Link
Bag | Primark

Hi Everyone! I hope you've all had a great weekend, mine has been amazing. One of my best friends Debra on her boyfriend came to visit Matt and I in Newcastle and we had such a laugh. We decided to buy a bottle of 'cheap' Jager Meister that was hilariously named 'Josef Meier's' - Classic. We played drinking games, partied in town until 4am then came back to the flat for more drinking, pizza eating and dancing. I was shown a rather embarrassing video of myself this morning dancing around my living room to Rihanna and Eminem 'Love the way you lie' - I'm so cool it's unreal. NOT. At least I was having fun though haha!

After last nights antics today has consisted of us being completely lazy watching The X Factor and eating yummy hangover food. We decided to have a browse on Just Eat and see if anywhere delivered food at lunch time. Much to our delight we discovered that Subway DELIVER! Yes you heard that right, Subway. Amazing right? So after scoffing on a foot long meatball marinara (as you do) and being completely lazy I have decided to get my butt into gear and write a blog post. As you can see, I am going off an a tangent so I will get back into the actual point of this post.

As I've recently got a new job I thought it was only appropriate I bought myself a brand new outfit to wear this weekend. After browsing various online clothing sites I spotted this beautiful sixties style dress from River Island. It was love at first site as it is so different and unique to anything else I have seen around at the moment. I love the cute floaty style with the high neck and colourful detailing. The back is super pretty too and it even has a panel of fringing down the front which just made me fall in love with it even more. Even better, it only cost £28.00. What a bargain.

Of course I had to get some shoes as well so I turned to my favourite shoe shop 'Garage' and ordered myself these amazing shoe boots. They are perfect for the winter months and the fact they have on-trend studs all over the back was a huge selling point for me. I realise studs might not be to everyones taste but I personally love them. Every shop I go in at the moment has studded, embellished items so I guess we can expect to see studs everywhere this season.
Also, if you haven't heard of 'Garage' before you should definitely check out their website as it is full of amazingly gorgeous shoes for super cheap prices. Some of their shoes can be slightly 'tacky' but if you have a good look around they have some beauties as well.

As the dress is quite a statement piece I decided to keep the accessories minimal and just use my trusty studded clutch bag from Primark. I swear that thing is my best buy EVER from Primark. It's still going strong over a year later, hooray! I also wore MAC 'Lady Danger' lipstick that I recently won in a giveaway. It is such a gorgeous colour and I will be doing a full review on it soon. Once again I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and enjoy your Sunday night.

What did you get up to this weekend?

Lots of Love,

OOTN | Topshop Asymmetry

Top - Topshop (Link)
Leggings - Topshop
Belt - H&M
Wedges - Matalan (Link)
Necklace - Diva
Earrings - Matalan
Bag - Primark

Hey Ladies. I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend. I haven't done an outfit post in a while so I thought I would show you what I wore for a meal out with my friends on Saturday night. As we were going for a meal I didn't want to wear anything too short or skimpy so I decided to pair my good old leather look leggings with this asymmetric top, both from Topshop. I spotted this top on the Topshop website a couple of weeks ago and thought it would be perfect for day or night wear which is something I always look for when shopping for clothes. In the past I had a tendency to buy something once, wear it on a night out and then it would never be worn again. These days I try to buy clothing that can be worn for various occasions and I thought this top was one of them. As well as dressing it up like I have above, I will definitely be wearing this throughout the winter months paired with my black skinny jeans and ankle boots. I also love how it has a cut-out shoulder as it's a little bit different from a standard oversized t-shirt.

I decided to wear these wedge shoe boots from Matalan as I thought they added a nice pop of colour to the outfit. However, later in the night I changed them for a pair of black Topshop platforms as I thought they looked more dressed up. I do love these boots though and will be wearing them lots in the winter months with jeans, tights and leggings. In terms of jewellery, I wore my current fave necklace which is this spiked one from Diva. I bought it while I was in Australia but Diva is the jewellery brand stocked in Miss Selfridge so I'm pretty sure it's available from there if any of you like the look of it. The earings were also from Matalan and I liked that they matched the necklace. I also used my studded Primark clutch bag which I bought well over a year ago now. It has always been my go-to bag for a night out but as spikes and studs are in at the moment I am loving it even more than usual. Don't you just love it when you can use an accessory over and over again and it goes with pretty much any outfit?

Also, I'd like to apologise for the poor quality of the last photo. I was in a complete rush getting ready, was stressing because my hair looked horrible and these were the best pictures I could muster up in the space of five minutes. I have no idea why the heck my face looks like it has a brown line down it on the left picture? I look like I've dipped half of my face in a pile of dirt, yack. So yes, apologies for that but when I do an outfit post I like to show the whole outfit including hair and makeup so I have popped them up anyway. Phew, ramble over.

So there we have it, just a quick post from me today. I really shouldn't be blogging as I have an interview this week and need to be researching, revising and preparing for the dreaded interview questions. Why are they the most nerve wracking things in the world? I'm dreading it already. If you have any tips for calming nerves, please share as I could really use it.
Wish me luck!

Lots of Love,
