Small Matalan Haul

Hey Ladies! I hope you've had a lovely weekend. My boyfriend and I have been so lazy it's unreal but I've loved being cosy on the sofa, backing cakes and watching rubbish TV. I caught up with the last series of TOWIE today so I'm prepared for the new series starting tonight. Although the cast are some of the most irritating people ever I just can't help but find myself being addicted to it. Anyway, enough rambling, I'm going off the point of this post here. Whoops.

So if you have read my blog from the very beginning you might know that I am a huge lover of Matalan. I realise it might seem random and not the most obvious choice for clothing and accessories but I promise you when I say, they have some amazing on-trend pieces every season. I would probably class Matalan in the same category as H&M - somewhere I can go to grab a few on-trend pieces each season without breaking the bank. They stock everything from clothing to accessories, shoes and underwear so pretty much everything us girls need when having a good old shopping spree. The lovely home ware section is an added bonus too if your into a bit of interior design like me.

With this being said I thought I would show you the things I picked up on my most recent trip to Matalan. I didn't get too much as mum was treating me and I didn't want to push my luck haha. As I'm jobless at the moment my lovely mum said she would buy me a few bits and bobs to get my Autumn wardrobe a bit more up to date. How nice of her? Anyway, as I'm sure you can already see from the photos I managed to get myself a dipped hem top, a jumper, pencil dress, two pairs of shoes and some earrings. I got the pencil dress to wear to an interview I had last week and although it looks fairly boring on it's own, it looked lovely paired with a patent black waist belt, tights and heels. I felt rather ladylike I must admitt. If you work in an office I would really recommend taking a look at Matalan's work wear range as each time I pop in they have a lovely selection and everything is so affordable. I think this dress was less than £20 and as it's such a classic piece it can be worn over and over again with different accessories.

So after I'd picked out the sensible work wear I then had a look at the rest of their new Autumn collection. They had everything from chunky knits to chelsea boots and I have to say I was very impressed. To be honest, if I wasn't trying to reign in my spending I could of gone absolutely wild. In the end I picked out this bright orange jumper and khaki dipped hem t-shirt. I loved both of these pieces as soon as I saw them and thought they would be perfect for the A/W. The jumper came in loads of different colours but this orange shade instantly jumped out at me as I think it will brighten up my otherwise neutral autumn wardrobe nicely. I've also been a big fan of the dipped-hem trend this year and think this khaki embellished t-shirt will look perfect under my leather jacket.

As for the shoes I picked up, I love them both. Whenever I go shopping at Matalan I'm always amazed by how on-trend their shoes and accessories are. They always have a huge selection of shoes and this season is no exception. As I'm sure you will all know, studded slipper shoes have been all over the place lately and these ones were a bargain at £12.00. I've seen similar ones in Topshop for more than double the price so I was very happy to get my hands on these. Studs are everywhere at the minute so I'm happy to have some in my life. I then spotted these lovely deep purple wedge boots and although they weren't an essential, I just had to have them. I mean I don't need to explain why, just look at them, gorgeous! I featured them in this OOTD post here if you want to see how I wore them. As well as the shoes, Matalan's jewellery range is absolutely fantastic as it's created by the same people who make the 'Freedom' range at Topshop. I never buy jewellery from Topshop anymore, I just don't see the point when Matalan have exactly the same pieces for a fraction of the price. I picked up these cute spike earrings to wear out with my friends last weekend and they looked fab!

I've included a couple of photos at the end of me wearing my new Jumper and Pencil Dress lately. By the way, there isn't a stain on the dress - it's a dirty mirror haha! You can find most of the things I have mentioned on their website here.

So there we have it, a few things I've added to my wardrobe of late. Do you ever shop in Matalan? Do you love it as much as me?

Lots of Love,

The Cutest Brush EVER? Japonesque Safari Chic

Japonesque Safari Chic Bronzer Brush available at HQ Hair - Link

Hi Ladies! I hope you are all well and have exciting weekend plans. I'm off out tonight with my friend Camille so I am very excited about that. One thing I will be using whilst I'm getting ready tonight is this amazingly cute bronzer brush from Japonesque. Now being a lover of kabuki brushes anyway (I've tried LOADS!), the fact that this one has animal 'safari' style hairs makes it all the more appealing. I mean seriously, have you ever seen a cuter makeup brush than this?

Anyway, now I've gushed over the outer appearance of this brush, I'll get on to talking about the brush itself. Japonesque isn't a brand I had ever tried before but I'd always heard great things about their brushes on twitter and other blogs. So when they tweeted asking bloggers if they would like the opportunity to try their new collection, I jumped at the chance. The whole collection includes the bronzer brush I was sent and a three piece set that includes a powder, shadow and crease brush. Now obviously I can't judge the other three brushes but the kabuki has to be the softest brush I have ever felt in my life. When I first took it out of it's little box I just couldn't stop touching it. (Okay, I sound like a creep!)

As well as being exceptionally soft, it is very dense and picks up product with ease. As it is a kabuki brush it is best used for application of powder and mineral products so I have been using it almost every day to apply bronzer to my cheeks and t-zone. The hairs are synthetic and I haven't experienced any shedding since I began using it a couple of weeks ago. They are also cruelty-free and not tested on animals which is an even bigger bonus.

Now moving on to the bad part, boo! This brush costs a whopping £19.50 which in my opinion is a lot of money to spend on a brush. However, what I will say is that kabuki brushes do tend to cost a lot more than any other brush. I'm guessing it's because they have more hairs? Hmmm. Anyway, although it is expensive it's still much cheaper than the likes of a MAC kabuki which makes it seem more acceptable (any excuse!). If you aren't willing to splash the cash out on a treat for yourself, I would 100% recommend popping these brushes on your christmas list or buying them as a gift for your mum, sister, friend or whoever would appreciate it. I certainly know I'd love to receive the three-piece set as a christmas gift. Hint, Hint haha!

Overall I absolutely adore this brush and it adds a little bit of wow factor to my otherwise plain makeup brushes. As much as I love the brushes I currently use, this has been a joy to grab from my makeup bag every morning. I mean who doesn't love a bit of animal print from time to time? As Japonesque would say 'explore your wild side!'.

Have you tried Japonesque brushes or their Safari Chic collection?

Lots of Love,

An All Time Fave | MAC Girl About Town Lipstick

MAC Girl About Town Lipstick - Link

Hi Ladies! After going out on Saturday night and wearing this lipstick it dawned on me that I have never reviewed it on my blog. I instantly thought I must review it as this is one of my all time favourites, if not my absolute favourite lipstick. If you read my blog regularly you will know by now that I am obsessed with berry lipsticks and own an abundance of them. Well, I have to say - GAT (I will refer to it as GAT throughout this post - Lazy haha!) is the perfect berry shade and particularly beautiful for the Autumn/Winter months.

I have owned this lipstick for over a year now and it is always top of my list when it comes to a night out. As you can see from my little collage above, I wear it on a regular basis and never get bored of it. It has been worn for all sorts of occasions and although it is a bright shade, I find the deeper pink shade with purple undertones makes it much more classy than your standard fuchsia. As with all MAC lipsticks, the quality of this lipstick is absolutely stunning. It is highly pigmented, creamy and feels moisturising on my lips. GAT is one of MAC's 'amplified' formula lipsticks which are a personal favourite of mine. I find them to be the most pigmented of all their lipsticks yet not drying in the slightest which is often a down fall of super pigmented lip products. I also find that this shade is very long wearing and even when it does start to wear off, it leaves a nice stain on the lips instead of a smudgy mess.

Of course the only down fall of this product is the price. MAC lipsticks now retail for 14.00 which has slowly crept up since I bought this for £12.50 around a year ago. However, although it is expensive, I would 100% repurchase it over and over again. As I said, I have owned this for over a year now and still have plenty left. As it is so highly pigmented, I find a little goes a long way and one swipe over my lips is all I need for an opaque, bold lip. With that in mind, I do believe the price is completely justified.

Whats your fave MAC lipstick? I'd love to hear your suggestions as I almost have 6 empties for Back to MAC so will be going to pick a new one up soon. Have you tried GAT?

Lots of Love,

OOTN | Topshop Asymmetry

Top - Topshop (Link)
Leggings - Topshop
Belt - H&M
Wedges - Matalan (Link)
Necklace - Diva
Earrings - Matalan
Bag - Primark

Hey Ladies. I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend. I haven't done an outfit post in a while so I thought I would show you what I wore for a meal out with my friends on Saturday night. As we were going for a meal I didn't want to wear anything too short or skimpy so I decided to pair my good old leather look leggings with this asymmetric top, both from Topshop. I spotted this top on the Topshop website a couple of weeks ago and thought it would be perfect for day or night wear which is something I always look for when shopping for clothes. In the past I had a tendency to buy something once, wear it on a night out and then it would never be worn again. These days I try to buy clothing that can be worn for various occasions and I thought this top was one of them. As well as dressing it up like I have above, I will definitely be wearing this throughout the winter months paired with my black skinny jeans and ankle boots. I also love how it has a cut-out shoulder as it's a little bit different from a standard oversized t-shirt.

I decided to wear these wedge shoe boots from Matalan as I thought they added a nice pop of colour to the outfit. However, later in the night I changed them for a pair of black Topshop platforms as I thought they looked more dressed up. I do love these boots though and will be wearing them lots in the winter months with jeans, tights and leggings. In terms of jewellery, I wore my current fave necklace which is this spiked one from Diva. I bought it while I was in Australia but Diva is the jewellery brand stocked in Miss Selfridge so I'm pretty sure it's available from there if any of you like the look of it. The earings were also from Matalan and I liked that they matched the necklace. I also used my studded Primark clutch bag which I bought well over a year ago now. It has always been my go-to bag for a night out but as spikes and studs are in at the moment I am loving it even more than usual. Don't you just love it when you can use an accessory over and over again and it goes with pretty much any outfit?

Also, I'd like to apologise for the poor quality of the last photo. I was in a complete rush getting ready, was stressing because my hair looked horrible and these were the best pictures I could muster up in the space of five minutes. I have no idea why the heck my face looks like it has a brown line down it on the left picture? I look like I've dipped half of my face in a pile of dirt, yack. So yes, apologies for that but when I do an outfit post I like to show the whole outfit including hair and makeup so I have popped them up anyway. Phew, ramble over.

So there we have it, just a quick post from me today. I really shouldn't be blogging as I have an interview this week and need to be researching, revising and preparing for the dreaded interview questions. Why are they the most nerve wracking things in the world? I'm dreading it already. If you have any tips for calming nerves, please share as I could really use it.
Wish me luck!

Lots of Love,

Instagram Diary #3 & A Catch-Up

A messy bun kind of day  ♥  All of my nail polishes  My pretty bedroom   I was proud of this lunch I made - Jacket potato with sweet chilli hummus and salad  Dominos with the boyf   Matt on his first day working as a Lawyer (proud girlfriend moment haha!)   My ridiculously large lip products collection ♥ Organising my wardrobe   Playing around with the new picfx effects   I caved and bought Bioderma   I hit 1800 followers (YAY!)   Reading Sophie Kinsella in bed   Kids doing the Great North Run in Newcastle  ♥ Cocktails with friends on the Quayside    Me checking out everyone's blog links after #bbloggers chat  ♥ Watching 'Insidious' with friends.

Hey Ladies! I hope you are all fine and dandy. I thought I would share a few of my Instagram snaps with you today and write a bit of a lifestyle catch-up post. After #bbloggers chat last night which was all about our favorite posts to read and write, a lot of people said they liked these type of Instagram posts as they are a little more personal and relaxed than a standard product review and what not. I have to admit, I do love writing these posts myself as it gives me the chance to have a little ramble and fill you in on what I've been up to. (Your probably not even interested). Also, if you don't know what the #bbloggers chat is, it's a chat on Twitter between 8-9pm every Sunday night where all us bloggers can share our thoughts on a certain topic. The topic is voted for by a poll on the #bbloggers official blog so if you want to vote for next weeks topic, pop over to their blog here and have a look. If you haven't joined in before I highly recommend it as it's a great way of interacting with new bloggers or your regular readers.

Anyway, after that big babble I thought I'd tell you what I've been up to lately. As you can see from the above pictures, the past couple of weeks since my return from Australia has consisted of seeing friend, eating lots of food and generally just chilling out. Obviously now I'm back in the UK I'm unemployed so I've been searching high and low for jobs most days. I've never been out of work since the age of 14 so this sitting around doing nothing all day malarkey is getting right on my nerves. It's also been really disheartening when companies have sent me 'sorry you were unsuccessful this time' emails and it makes me feel like I'm never going to find a job, boo. On the bright side, my lovely boyfriend Matt started his job as a trainee solicitor a couple of weeks ago and I am super proud of him. He's always been my rock and has been so supportive these past few weeks when I've been getting down in the dumps. So if your reading this Matt, thanks a million - your a total gem!

The only good thing that has come from being unemployed is the fact I have had lots of opportunities to catch up with my friends and family. My friends came to visit me and Matt in Newcastle last weekend and we had such a laugh drinking cocktails and watching 'Insidious'. We popped it on presuming it would be really scary but in all honesty it was the most unrealistic and amusing horror film I have ever seen. If you have watched this movie, I'm sure you know what I mean.
I also got to come back to my hometown in the Lake District this weekend and it was lovely to catch up with family and friends. On Saturday night me and my three best friends went out for a Mexican and drinks which was lovely although I was a tad annoyed that my Fajitas didn't come with guacamole and I had to pay £2.50 for a side order? TWO POUNDS FIFTY? Obscene I tell you, isn't guacamole just a standard part of fajitas? Or is it just me that can't eat them without it? Anyhow, gauc gate aside, we had a lovely night catching up and my friend Debra and I ended up going out in town which resulted in lots of Jagerbombs and various other concoctions. It's safe to say I wasn't feeling too perky yesterday so my mum, sister and I spent the day lounging in bed and the evening eating Chinese and watching The X Factor. I'm not too keen on it this year though, the contestants just haven't been floating my boat.

So, that's all I've been up to really. Other than stuffing my face with Dominos and various other yummy foods, I've had a pretty quiet couple of weeks. I've been so bored some days that I've even taken it upon myself to clean my makeup and organise my wardrobe. Is that said? Whilst cleaning my lip products I realised I have far too many and just had to Instagram the evidence. Oh well, I am a makeup loving beauty blogger so I guess that makes it okay right? I also managed to read a whole book in two days which is quite the record for me but it was so addictive. I read 'The Undomestic Goddess' by Sophie Kinsella and it was a fab read with lots of surprising twists and turns. If you haven't read it already, I highly recommend it.
Oh and I'd also like to quickly add that I recently reached 1800 GFC followers. Wow, wow and wow is all I can say. I am utterly amazed I have this many people who are actually interested in reading my little blog. I am very excited as this means I am fast approaching the massive 2000 followers milestone and I can't wait to celebrate it with a giveaway of my favourite things. Fingers crossed I have a job by then as I feel it could get quite expensive haha! Thanks again and I love you all.

Anyway, that's definitely enough of me blabbering on, this post has become longer than I first intended and I don't want to bore you. I will be back tomorrow with an outfit post as I haven't done one in a while so check back for that. I hope you all had a fab weekend and don't forget to follow me on Instagram if you have it. My username is @kayleighjcouture.

Lots of Love,

Bioderma Sensibio H2O: My Thoughts

Hi Ladies. Now I'm pretty sure this product needs no introduction as it has been hyped all over the blogging world for months. I've read review after review of this product and almost every single one has been positive. I tried telling myself I didn't need it but temptation was too much and I couldn't resist popping on Ebay and ordering myself a bottle. I ordered the 'sensibio' version as my skin is quite partial to reacting to new products and I opted for a 250ml bottle instead of the 500ml version just incase I wasn't too keen on it.

If you've never heard of Bioderma before it is essentially a water based cleansing solution that removes makeup. At first I was a bit baffled by the science behind it and if I'm honest, I still am. All I know is that this is a 'micellar' solution which is basically water that contains small balls of cleansing particles. I've tried reading about it online but it's all a bit too complicated if you ask me. I never was good with science.

As Bioderma is a French product it isn't readily available to buy in the UK. I'd read that lots of bloggers had ordered it from Ebay so although I was a little dubious, I gathered it would be safe and sound. I always like to order from top-rated sellers on Ebay as I find them to be more reliable so I ended up ordering mine from this from this seller here. The service was absolutely fantastic and my package arrived the next day. It was very securely wrapped and the bottle itself was in a box full of shredded paper to keep it protected.

I obviously couldn't wait to give it a try so I decided I would use it there and then to see what all the fuss is about. I have to admit, all of the rave reviews are absolutely right. I popped a few squirts onto a cotton pad and within a couple of seconds it began melting my makeup away including heavy eye makeup. I have been using it both morning and night since receiving it and find that two soaked cotton pads manage to completely remove every trace of makeup from my skin.

Before I recieved this product, I was using the Caudalie Cleansing Water and as much as I love it and will continue to use it, Bioderma removed my makeup so much quicker. It left no oily or sticky residue on my skin and instead left my face feeling clean and fresh. I also love that it has no scent and is very gentle on my sensitive skin.

I have really enjoyed using this product and I should have listened to the hype a bit sooner. I paid £7.75 for a 250ml bottle but I know you can get the 500ml version for around £10.00 which I don't think is too bad for such a huge bottle. I will definitely be ordering the bigger size when this one runs out.

Have you ever tried Bioderma? What do you think?

Lots of Love,

P.S - If you missed my post yesterday, I am now offering advertising on my blog. If you would like a slot for October you can have a look at the prices here.

Do you want to Advertise on Couture Girl?

Hi Ladies. So if you follow me on Twitter you may know that as of the 1st October I am offering advertising spaces on my blog. Now I realise advertising can often be frowned upon but I am simply doing it to help my blog develop and grow.
As I'm sure most of you are aware, blogging can be time-consuming and costly. Yes, I realise it's a hobby and a passion but of course it's nice to get a little something back for all our hard work. If your anything like me and need to try every new collection or hyped product, the monthly cost of blogging soon ads up. After all, without spending money on new products, I would have nothing to share with you lovely people.
As I am currently unemployed after returning from my trip to Australia, I thought now would be the perfect opportunity to offer advertising so I can keep my little blog up and running. With this being said, any money I make from my advertising packages will go towards my blog content. As well as developing my blog, advertising will also allow you to promote and develop yourselves too. Whether you are a new blogger, run an online shop or are simply looking for a bit more exposure, then one of my packages could be for you. I have come up with four different packages, all of which I think are reasonably priced based on my follower number and stats.

The first advertising month will start of the 1st October so if you are interested, you can have a look at my packages and prices here.

I really hope some of you take this opportunity as I am very excited about interacting and getting to know you all more.

Lots of Love,

Murad Pore Perfection Starter Kit

Hi Ladies! I was recently contacted by Murad and asked if I'd like to try their Pore Perfection starter kit. As I had heard of Murad before and knew it was a high-end luxury brand, I instantly jumped at the chance and said yes. As I'm currently looking for a job there is no way I could afford to buy expensive skin care myself so I was very grateful to be given the opportunity. The kit I was sent includes four products - Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser (50ml), T-Zone Pore Refining Gel (15ml) and Energizing Pomegranate Moisturiser (30ml). They also included a Skin Perfecting Primer (5ml) which I have actually tried before when it was included in a Glossybox.

As these products are designed for people with oily skin, it is the perfect kit for me. My skin isn't super oily but I do find I get an oily t-zone so I was particularly excited to try the 'T-Zone Pore Refining Gel'. When the kit arrived in the post, I was very impressed with how it was presented in this lovely box and each of the products were cute, pink and a generous size. First impressions = excellent!

After using these products for a few weeks I feel I have got a real feel for them and want to give you my thoughts.

First up is the Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser which is designed to cleanse and tone the skin in one simple step. I have to point out before I continue that the scent of all these products is quite strong but I didn't personally mind that. Just keep that in mind though if you aren't partial to a strong scent. I have been using this cleanser whilst having a shower for the past few weeks now and I must admit, I love it. It is a foam cleanser so when pumped onto my hand the liquid turns into a frothy white foam. I really like the idea of using foam on my face as it is less messy and fussy than a cream or gel. When applying this to my face I rub it around in circular motions and I find that a little goes a very long way. This small bottle is only 50ml but I have been using it for a few weeks now and have only used just over a quater of the bottle. It sinks into my skin perfectly and it almost felt like rubbing silk over my face. The foam feels so smooth and it instantly removed my makeup and left my skin feeling soft and supple. One thing I hate about some cleansers is the tight feeling it can leave on my skin but this did the exact opposite and left it feeling hydrated. I would definitely recommend this product and I am contemplating buying the full-size bottle when I have more money.

Next up is the T-Zone Pore Refining Gel which again, is a fab little product. Much like the cleanser, this product is going to last such a long time. I have been using it in conjunction with the cleanser for three week or four weeks and have barely touched the surface. A little goes a very long way with this product. At first, I was a bit confused as to how I was meant to use this as I have never heard of or used anything similar previously. However, after doing a bit of research I came to realise that this product is supposed to be used down the t-zone where skin is partial to excess oil. The aim of the product is for it to control shine and minimize pores. Now I can't really say I've seen a difference in the size of my pores as I'm quite lucky to not really have any. However, I can definitely say this helps to control shine which is great if you suffer with excess oil like me. I really like this and like I said earlier, it will last such a long time. The only down side is that this has the strongest scent of all three products and is even a bit too strong for my liking.

The final step of the routine is the Energizing Pomegranate Moisturiser. As with the other two products, I really love this. As someone who suffers with an oily t-zone, I always worry about using too much moisturiser as I think it can add extra oil to my skin. However, this moisturiser is so light and sinks into my skin straight away. It also left it feeling hydrated instead of heavy and oily. Again it has the standard scent but I found this to be the least offensive of all three products.

As for the Skin Perfecting Primer, this is the one product I wasn't overly keen on. To be honest, primers just don't do it for me as I never seem to get any benefit from them. This one also has a tint to it instead of being clear and I found it was a little too dark for my skin which resulted in it looking a tad muddy. It also left my skin feeling sticky, looking shiny and didn't do much in terms of smoothing out my pores. As I say though, I don't think I have ever tried a primer I get along with. With this being said, I can look past the primer as the main products in this kit are great.

If you are interested in trying this kit, it is currently on sale for half price here making it £12.50 instead of the usual £25.00. I have really enjoyed using all of the products and would really recommend giving this a try if you have difficulty controlling oil. However, if you don't  have oily skin they have other kits for anti-ageing and blemish prone skin too so you can find something to suit. The small bottles do last a long time too so £12.50 is a real bargain for high-end skincare products. Plus I always think sample sizes are a good way to test a new skincare routine before committing to buying the full-size bottles. The full size version of this kit costs a very hefty £70.00 but I must admit, if I had that kind of money I would buy it. Maybe I should stock up on these little kits while they are on sale? Hmmmmm.

Have you ever tried anything from Murad? Do you like the look of this kit?

Lots of Love,

Saturday Selection: My Top Fashion Picks for Autumn

Polyvore - kayleighcouture

Hey Ladies. I hope you are all well and have some exciting plans for the weekend. My friends from home are coming to visit me in Newcastle today so I am very excited for a catch up, drinks and a takeaway in front of The X Factor tonight. I've also had a few job prospects over the past couple of days and I won a pair of Chockers shoes in a Twitter comp so I am in a jolly good mood.

As Autumn is fast approaching us, it got me thinking about a few wardrobe staples that I must get my hands on. Autumn and Winter fashion is my absolute favourite. I don't know about you but I love all the deep colours, wooly jumpers, chunky scarves and ankle boots. I'm classing some of the items I have included above as 'essentials' and others are things I would like to own purely because they look pretty. If you can't already tell from the photo, I am loving anything Khaki and studded at the moment. So without me blabbering on too much, here are my reasons for wanting (needing) each of these items.

1. River Island Khaki Pu Sleeve Army Jacket - I'm sure most of you ladies will of seen these khaki army jackets with leather look sleeves all over the place lately. This is clearly going to be one of A/W biggest trends and I personally love it. I realise it might not be to everyones taste but I love the mixture of textures and materials. I already own a leather jacket that I wear to death but this is more of a statement, stand out piece that will be perfect for keeping me warm in the Autumn breeze.

2. Topshop NY Burnout Tee - I was browsing the Tophop website yesterday and I fell in love with this t-shirt. It's fairly simple but I love the burnt out effect and think it would look perfect teamed with some black skinny jeans and ankle boots.

3. River Island Dark Red Ponti Skinny Trousers - These gorgeous skinny trousers are currently in River Island's sale for a bargainous £20.00. I have included these as I love the deep berry shade, it is perfect for Autumn. They also make a nice change from standard black or denim jeans.

4. Khaki Embellished Playsuit - As I said, I am absolutely loving anything khaki at the moment so when I was browsing the Topshop website this instantly jumped out at me. I love it for two reasons, firstly because it's a playsuit and secondly, it's embellished. Loving both playsuits and embellishment, this is my perfect Autumn night out attire. I imagine this will be very flattering on the figure due to the loose fit and the sparkly top gives it a glitzy, glamorous look.

5.AX Paris Stud Ankle Boot - Okay, I am in love with these boots. Ever since the whole stud trend emerged I have been desperate to get my hands on some studded ankle boots. These are the perfect chelsea style boot that would go with practically everything in my wardrobe. I love that the studded detail isn't too over the top but still adds a stylish twist to a pair of classic black boots.

6.Club L Mesh Peplum dress - This classic LBD dress is from Republic's Club L range and I personally think it is the perfect dress for an Autumn night out. After all, an LBD never lets us girls down and I love how this one incorporates both the mesh and peplum trends. I once saw photos of Megan Fox wearing a similar dress to this and I have wanted one ever since. I might not 'need' this item but knowing me, it will probably end up in my wardrobe regardless.

7. Topshop Knitted Colour Block Jumper - As I said at the start of this post, I love love love wearing wooly jumpers and chunky knits in the Autumn and Winter months. I think this one from Topshop is perfect for Autumn as it is khaki (surprise, surprise!), slouchy and incorporates the colour block trend nicely. I can see myself wearing this under my leather jacket or on it's own with a chunky scarf on warmer autumn days. A definite must-have in my opinion.

8. Miss Selfridge Mirror Stud Clutch - Mirror? Studs? Clutch Bag? Yes please! Okay, I definitely don't 'need' this but I most certainly want it. I love the bold statement look of this bag and I think it would go perfectly with the Republic Mesh Peplum Dress and some statement heels.

9. Topshop Peace Burnout Snood - As I said at the start of this post, I love to wear chunky scarves in the autumn/winter months and this peace snood is no exception. I personally love snoods as they are so easy to wear and the peace print on this one from Topshop is so cute. Skinny jeans, slouchy top, studded ankle boots and a peace snood? I'm already planning how I'm going to wear this beauty.

10. Topshop Studded High Waist Hotpants - Last but not least, these Ah-maz-ing studded denim shorts from Topshop. As soon as I saw these, it was love at first sight. In my opinion, denim shorts can be worn all year round with bare legs in the Spring/Summer and tights in the Autumn/Winter. Of course I love these that little bit more than bog standard denim shorts because they are embellished with teeny gold studs. I also think these could be dressed up for a night out making them a versatile Autumn/Winter staple. Okay, I've convinced myself, I need them.

So there we have it, I hope you enjoyed seeing my top fashion picks for the Autumn months. What are your wardrobe must haves for Autumn/Winter?

Lots of Love,

Oh no, It's All Gone! | Empties #1

Hey Ladies! I hope you are all well. Today I am going to share with you a few products I have completely used up lately. I always enjoy reading these empty posts as I like to see that someone has actually used the whole product up instead of using it once and then reviewing it. In my opinion, you don't get a real feel for a product or see many benefits after one or two uses so I always try to use my products for a while before I review them.

With this being said, this little lot above are a few of the products I have really loved using over the past couple of months and I am very sad they have come to an end. *sobs*. So without me blabbering on too much, let me tell you why I loved and used every last drop of these products -

Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel

I reviewed the Daily Energizer range from Clarins here when I first got bought the set as a gift. On first impressions I said I really liked this gel cleanser and that hasn't changed. I found that it foamed up perfectly, felt very gentle on my skin and smelt amazing. I also loved that it took my makeup off with ease. Although the bottle is relatively small, I only needed a teeny bit of product each time I used it so it lasted for around 4 months and I used it every time I had a shower. I would definitely recommend this cleanser, it made my skin feel awake, clean and fresh. It's not too expensive either. You can get it from Boots here for £11.00.

Joico K-PAK Colour Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner

I got this shampoo and conditioner as part of a set for my birthday back in July. I have really enjoyed using them for the past couple of months and found they lasted so much longer than regular shampoo and conditioner. I used them almost every other day for nearly two months before they ran out which is very impressive considering I have long hair. I found I didn't need to use as much as I normally would when washing my hair with cheaper products. I really liked this as I felt I wasn't weighing my hair down with unnecessary extra product. If your after a good quality shampoo and conditioner that foams up nicely, cleans hair well and leaves it soft and shiny then this range is for you. I have reviewed these and the rest of the Colour Therapy range here.

Yes to Carrots Nourishing Exfoliating Cleanser

Again, as with most of the products in this post I have reviewed this in full here. As I have already reviewed it I won't go into too much detail but basically it's a great cleanser full of natural ingredients. It left my skin feeling moisturised instead of tight like some cleansers can and I love that it has bamboo particles for exfoliating too. A cleanser and an exfoliator in one? Yes please.

St.Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub

I'm pretty sure you have all heard of this face scrub as it is a classic product among beauty lovers. I don't have much to say about this other than it is a great exfoliator for those days your skin feels like it needs a little bit of a radiance boost. It removes dry skin perfectly, doesn't dry skin out and the exfoliating particles are the perfect size to provide a deep exfoliation. Oh and it smells good too, bonus!

Blink & Go Mascara

I received this product at the start of this year in a Glossybox and I absolutely fell in love with it. I'd never heard of the brand until I tried this mascara and I was so impressed with the quality. It instantly made my lashes look longer and thicker and I loved the huge tube. This mascara seemed to last forever taking around 3 months to completely run out with every day use. I have reviewed it in full here along with pictures wearing it if you fancy a more in depth read. When I finally have some money I hope to repurchase one of these.

Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara

After running out of my Blink & Go mascara in Oz, I went on the search for a new one. I would of replaced the Blink & Go but unfortunately it wasn't available to buy in Australia. However, I managed to find myself a little gem in this Revlon mascara. Much like the Blink & Go this made my lashes longer and thicker. I'm pretty convinced it helped them to grow too after some dodgy eyelash extensions left me with horrendous stumps for eyelashes. I have actually reviewed this in full here with some pretty impressive before and after pictures if you fancy a read.

KORA Organics Recovery Eye Cream Gel

This eye cream gel is from Miranda Kerr's KORA Organics range and I absolutely loved using it. I got this as a birthday gift from my dad and step mum after ranting and raving to them about wanting to start using eye cream. Someone told me it prevents crows feet so I instantly wanted to get myself one. Crows feet? No thanks. This one created by Miranda Kerr has all natural ingredients which I always love to see in a product and lets face it, who doesn't want to take skincare advice from a Victoria's Secret model? I found that this made my under eye area feel very tight a couple of seconds after application but I really liked that as it did a great job at reducing the bags/puffiness under my eyes. Even my boyfriend loved this and kept pinching it off me. Theres no wonder it ran out so quickly - I think he needs to buy me a new one ;).

MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer

I have had this product for what seems like forever, seriously this stuff lasts such a long time.  I love this concealer for a few reasons but mainly because it is so moisturising and blends like a dream. I mainly use this under my eyes to brighten them up and I find it works perfectly. It has quite a wet, almost watery consistency but I find that works well for under my eyes as caky concealer is never a good look. The only thing I dislike about this is the unhygienic doe foot applicator. I could just be being fussy but I don't like the idea of popping this onto a spot and then back into the tube. I know it's fine for under my eyes but for covering pimples, it's not very hygienic. I guess I could put it on my hand first but the effect isn't the same. However, after that little rant I do still love this and I'm sad it has come to an end.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

Now I realise this product doesn't look completely empty in the photos above but I assure you, it's totally gone now. I wanted to include this as I have gone through so many of these I have lost count. This is by far my favourite setting powder as it creates a flawless finish without being too heavy. I lightly dust this all over my face with a fluffy powder brush and it helps to control shine without making my face look completely matte. Love.

MAC Woodwinked Eyeshadow

This is my favourite eyeshadow of all time, it is perfect. This was one of the first things I ever tried from MAC around two and a half years ago when my mum bought me my first MAC items as part of my christmas present. I had really wanted to get my hands on Woodwinked after hearing so many girls on Youtube rave about it. (I hadn't discovered blogs at this stage). Lots of them were saying it really complimented blue eyes so being a blue eyed girl, I knew this was the shade I wanted to get. I have to say they weren't wrong and the beautiful bronze/gold tones worked perfectly with my eyes. I find it really makes them stand out and the quality of the shadow is second to none. It is so pigmented, creamy, easy to blend - the list goes on. Now heres the part that is crazy, this eyeshadow that has now come to an end (still a little bit left around the sides) is the same eyeshadow my mum bought me two and a half years ago. I still can't believe how long this has lasted myself as I wear it ALL the time and almost every time I go on a night out. If you are looking for a beautiful new eyeshadow, I urge you to give this a try. Okay, ramble over. Apologies.

So there we have it, a little selection of products that are unfortunately empty. Boo. I will definitely be repurchasing a few of these as I really enjoyed using them all.
I also have another little collection of empties building up so look out for another one of these posts soon. I hope you enjoyed it.

Have you used any products up this month?

Lots of Love,
