Amazing Advertisers // May

Hi everyone! Its that time of the month again where I introduce you all to my amazing advertisers. It only feels like five minutes ago I was introducing you to my April advertisers, I swear the months are flying by faster and faster. May has been a super busy month for me, I feel like I haven't been sticking to my normal blog routine due to being so busy. I've tried my best to keep plodding along and getting content up but I'm sorry it hasn't been as regular as it usually is! Anyway, before I start rambling, let me introduce you to my fabulous May advertisers. As always, there's an amazing selection of blogs and shops and I just know you're going to find some real gems amongst this little lot. As always, their blog/shop is linked within the title of their paragraphs. Enjoy! ...

Zoe from Zoenewlove

Ahoy there fellow Blogger Shipmates! It's Zoe Newlove here. 24 years young, I am a British born make-up artist living in Mallorca! I originally studied Animation at University and trained to become a Graphic Designer. Somewhere along the line I fell in love with make-up, and I am so happy I did. I learnt my trade working with SpaceNK Apothecary for just over four years and I now work as a Freelance Make-up Artist. I use my blog as a platform to share my latest work, tips of the trade and as a space to ramble on about my latest beauty finds.

Just recently, I gave my blog a make-over. Having a background in design, I thought I should make the most of these skills, dust them off and start producing illustrations and doodles again. Therefore, not only is my blog a place for fellow beauty lovers to enjoy, but you can also catch up on my latest drawings. If I wasn't a make-up artist I would love to work for Pixar!

Blogging gives me such a great sense of community spirit and I am so glad I jumped on board this ship. You guys are great and I really do appreciate it when I find new comments to read. If you do stop by, feel free to ask me any make-up, skincare, hair care related questions. I will always offer the best advice I can. Tweet me or drop me a message on Facebook anytime!

Liv from Liv Florence

Hi! I'm Liv and I blog over at Liv Florence. After months and months of poring over beauty blogs, fashion blogs, vlogs and youtube reviews, I decided to start my own little corner of the internet to share all my new found knowledge - and I love it (not only because it gives me an excuse for when the postman delivers a good 5-6 beauty parcels per day)!

I mainly post skincare and beauty reviews as well as 'How to' and 'Favourites' posts, and am hoping to progress into a few fashion posts by the end of the year. Excitingly, I'm also in the middle of a blog revamp at the moment, so I'm hoping by next month I'll have a whole new beautiful layout for you all, which I just can't wait for!

I love it when readers leave me a comment or email for a chat so feel free to get in touch, I promise I don't bite!

Nickii from Pin Up Beauty

Hi everyone! Its Kayleigh here. Unfortunately Nickii didn't get back to me with her paragraph for this post but I didn't want to leave her section empty as her You Tube channel is fabulous and definitely worth checking out. If you love watching makeup tutorials, you will love her channel. She's a beautiful girl and amazingly talented at applying makeup.  If I could apply my makeup half as well as she does I'd be a very happy bunny. Just click the link above to go and see for yourself.

Emma from Emma Louise
Hi everyone, my name is Emma Louise. For my fourth birthday I asked my granny for one of those cards grown ups put in the wall and money pop outs for them to spend, since then not much has changed.I am a self confessed shopaholic who loves all things beauty. I often used to ramble about my favourite make up or new products I had tried and tested to my friends, to the point of boring them I would imagine. I had been thinking about writing a blog for a while, but I really didn't feel brave or confident enough to go for it. It wasn't till one of my friends convinced me to do it that ‘Emma Louise Dreams’ was created.

My blog is primarily about beauty but I have done some fashion and general life style posts. I can honestly say I haven’t looked back since starting my blog. I have loved writing posts and sharing my passion for make up and beauty with fellow enthusiasts, and as my blog has grown, my confidence and writing style has developed alongside. It’s been lovely to meet and interact with new people from the ‘beauty world’ since starting my blog so I would really love for you to pop over to my blog and say hi and leave me your link as I really enjoy finding new blogs to read.

As always, I've thoroughly enjoyed having them all advertise with me and I've discovered some fabulous new reading material. I've also got my eye on a few things from 'The City Rack' (fabulous website!) and I've been wearing the Image hair extensions for a few week and can officially say I love them.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

OOTN // In Love with Fashion Playsuit & 25% Off Code

Playsuit - In Love with Fashion* // Necklace - River Island // Shoes - Windsor Store*// Bag - Primark // Watch - Michael Kors // Hand Chain - Primark

Hi everyone! I hope you're all well and having a great week. As I mentioned in my previous post, I went out for my friends birthday on Sunday night and today I want to share the outfit I wore. I was recently sent this beautiful floral playsuit from In Love With Fashion, an amazing fashion website that stocks stylish on-trend clothing for very reasonable prices. I have to be honest, before I was contacted by them, I hadn't heard of the website. However, since receiving this playsuit and one other item which I'll be featuring soon, I'm hooked. I already have a list as long as my arm of things I want to buy from the website so do make sure you check the website out.

I'm a huge fan of playsuits and this one is just perfect. Its made from a light and floaty material, has a vibrant floral print and is perfect for day or night time wear. I decided to dress is up for my friends birthday but I'll definitely be wearing it on my holiday next month with sandals and a big pair of sunglasses. I also tihnk it could be worn in winter time too with some thick black tights and a jacket making it a great all rounder.

I decided to teamed it with a chunky rose gold necklace from River Island and hand chain from Primark to jazz things up a bit but it didn't necessarily need any jewellery due to the busy print. I also wore these beautiful tan heels from Windsor Store which again are perfect for the Summer. I love the t-bar strap and chunky wooden heel and can already see myself wearing them to death. I also took my new Primark clutch bag out for its first outing and I absolutely love it. The yellow clasp really brought out the colours in the playsuit and I didn't realise until I opened it that it has a gold chain attached to the bag too meaning I can use it as a clutch or a shoulder bag - how convenient!

I popped on my YSL 'Le Orange' lipstick to bring out the orange tones in the playsuit and walaah, perfect Summer outfit. I'll definitely be taking this on holiday with me next month, its so comfortable and convenient, requires no effort and is really flattering on the figure  all while still being girly and glamorous.

If you fancy treating yourself to some new clothes, your in luck! The lovely people over at In Love With Fashion have given me a unique 25% off code to share with the readers of my blog. If you like the look of anything on their website, all you need to do is pop 'couturegirl25' in at the checkout to receive the discount. Its valid on full price items until the 1st September 2013 and you can find the playsuit I'm wearing here for £36.00.

Let me know if you decide to buy anything, I'm eyeing up a Beige playsuit as worn by Mollie from the Sats! So pretty!

Lots of Love,

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great bank holiday weekend. The weather is actually nice for once - Hallelujah! I'm going out for my friends birthday tonight which should be fun - I haven't seen my friends from home in a couple of months so I can't wait to get dolled up, have a few tipples and a good dance.

I was recently sent this NARS Pierre Hardy Blush* from AO and I've completely fallen in love. I didn't think it was possible for a piece of makeup to be so beautiful! As a huge fan of NARS makeup, I was very excited to hear they were teaming up with designer Pierre Hardy to create a limited edition range of makeup to celebrate his new high-fashion shoe collection. The range consists of six nail polish duos and two *beautiful* blushes. As I'm not much of a nail girl, the polishes didn't really interest me but as soon as I saw the blushes, it was very much a "I need it!" kind of moment.

Larger than the standard NARS blushers, the Pierre Hardy blushes are similar in size to the NARS bronzers. Theres two shades available - 'Boys Don't Cry' and 'Rotonde'. Boys Don't Cry is a vibrant fuschia pink and Rotonde is a vibrant bright orange. As I'm more into peach and orange shades, I decided Rotonde would be more suited to me. However, I must admit, if I could have both, I would. They're both stunning shades. They also have Pierre Hardy's stunning avant-garde design layered over the top in the form of a gold shimmer. I was quite disappointment to find the design doesn't run through the whole blusher though, just the top layer. I'd of liked it to run right through but thats my only bug bear about this product, its still lovely none-the-less.

As I said earlier, the shade I chose is 'Rotonde'. In the pan it looks like a mid-toned peach but when swatched its a very vibrant tangerine orange. It looks quite scary when swatched but when blended its a beautiful soft coral shade with a hint of gold shimmer running through it. I'm not sure if the shimmer is a permanent fixture in this blush due to the gold print only being on the top layer but either way, its a very pretty shade. The formula is much like the standard NARS blushes - very finely milled, soft to the touch and easy to blend. I find the shade gives me a nice flush of colour and last all day long. Its the perfect shade for Summer and I imagine it will look absolutely beautiful with a tan on holiday. I don't have any complaints about the formula what so ever.

Overall I think this is a beautiful product and one you should take a look at if you enjoy using blush. For £30.00 it is quite pricey but it will last a lifetime due to the large size. If you fancy treating yourself to something a bit special, I'd really recommend it. These blushers are Limited Edition, so if you like the look of them, head over to the NARS website and check them out.

Will you be treating yourself to one of these blushes?

Lots of Love,

"Photography is a Scrapbook of your Life" ...

Photographs, Photos, Photography, Images, Save your Memories, Memories, Online Digital Photo Printing, PhotoBox, TruPrint, Online Photo Printing Services,

Hi everyone! Todays post isn't about beauty or fashion but something I want to share regardless. Lately I got thinking about the world (wow, you'd think I was ninety) and it made me realise that lots of people, myself included, don't own 'proper' photographs anymore. What I mean by proper photographs is actual printed images that you put in photo albums. Nowadays its all about iphones and digital cameras and although they're fabulous, flicking through photos on a laptop or phone isn't the same as holding a real photograph in your hands.

When I was younger I remember my family taking photos and videos at every opportunity they had. Whether it was a special occasion, family holiday or just a relaxed day at home, they'd be there, capturing every moment. They still have those photos now, tucked away in neat photo albums, and looking back at them fills me with joy and happy memories. I travelled home to the Lake District recently and my Mum, Nanna, Sister and I decided to take a walk down memory lane looking through old photos and watching old videos (yes videos, remember those?). It was so lovely to see images from years and years ago that were still there, albeit a little bit worn out, to flick through and enjoy, decades later.

Photographs, Photos, Photography, Images, Save your Memories, Memories, Online Digital Photo Printing, PhotoBox, TruPrint, Online Photo Printing Services,

It got me thinking that although I take hundreds of photos (I'm the girl thats constantly taking photos wherever she goes. Yes, even of my food), I haven't had any of them printed and put into photo albums for a good five years. It actually made me really sad to think that if my laptop were to crash or I lost my phone, years worth of happy memories and photographs would be gone. Just like that, in the blink of an eye.

With this being said, I immediately decided that I had to print lots of my favourite images, sooner rather than later. The thought of losing them all made me shudder - it might sound dramatic but the thought of having no images to look back on when I'm old and wrinkly made me really upset. I want to be able to show my children and grandchildren old photos and re-live the 'good old days'.

I didn't want to pay a fortune to get my photos printed (which is the only downside to 'real-life' photographs) so I took to good old Google to see which sites would print me a big batch for a reasonable price. I was shocked by how many amazing photo-printing websites appeared in the search results and two of them really stood out to me - PhotoBox and TruPrint. I was amazed when I saw that Photobox are offering 60 free prints when you sign up to their website and TruPrint were offering 50 free prints if you signed up to theirs. Thats 110 free printed images for signing up to a couple of websites - amazing right? I must admit going through the thousands of images on my laptop and phone and only selecting 110 was quite a mission but it was lovely to look back at old photos and pick out the ones that were special to me.

Photographs, Photos, Photography, Images, Save your Memories, Memories, Online Digital Photo Printing, PhotoBox, TruPrint, Online Photo Printing Services,

After I'd chose my 110 free prints I proceeded to the checkout expecting there to be some sort of hidden catch. Luckily, there wasn't, just a small delivery fee. I think I paid around £1.99 for delivery on both websites and as simple as that, hundreds of memories were on the way to me in the post. They both arrived only two days later (big thumbs up for speedy delivery) and I'm absolutely thrilled with them. I got such a huge sense of satisfaction looking through them all and I can't wait to organise them all into albums. That will be my next photo project - finding a website that sells cute and affordable photo albums. If you know of any, do let me know.

This is quite a spontaneous post and not one I'd planned to write but I hope it gives you that little nudge to go and get some of your favourite photographs printed. The current deals on the PhotoBox and TruPrint websites are just too good to miss so do make sure you go and check them out, you won't regret it! They do lots of other cute bits and bobs too like photo books, canvases and calendars.

"Photography is a scrapbook of your life". Don't lose any chapters from yours!

Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well and had a fabulous weekend. I had a great weekend (albeit a very busy one hence my lack of posts) celebrating my friends 23rd birthday. We went for some yummy Asian food, made cocktails and generally had a good old knees up. Just what I needed! Anyway, before I go off on a tangent, I want to tell you about two fabulous hair products I've been using recently.

As I'm sure you're all aware by now, my hair is bleached blonde meaning it can be prone to dryness and looking a bit dull. With this being said, I'm constantly on the look out for new lotions and potions that will make my hair healthy, soft and shiny. Well, this is where the Macadamia hair range comes in very handy. A range of hair products made with nourishing Macadamia and Argan oil ingredients to restore and nourish damaged hair. I've been using a few products from the range for a while now and today I'd like to share my thoughts on the Deep Repair Masque* and Control Spray*.

Over the past few years, I've tried my fair share of hair masks. From ones targeted for blonde hair to ones that claim to make your hair grow (yes, I'm talking about you Lee Stafford), I've tried them all. However, I've never used one that's made me think 'wow'. Well - until now that is. As soon as I received this Macadamia hair mask in the post, I couldn't wait to try it. Not only do I love the super cute floral packaging and the fact its full of nourishing oils and natural ingredients but oh my gosh, it smells out of this world. Seriously guys, it was love at first whiff! I have a thing about wanting the products I use to smell nice and this one ticks all of my boxes. Secondly, I love the consistency. As you can see in my photos above, its very thick and gloopy which in my personal opinion is how a hair mask should be. I really hate buying a new hair mask only to find its all watery and runny - no thank you!

When I first received this product, I immediately jumped in the bath, slathered it all over my hair and left it for the seven minutes as instructed. However, after using it and being left disappointed that my hair wasn't as soft and tangle-free as I'd expected, I decided to do a bit of research to figure out where I was going wrong. What I realised is that this product isn't supposed to replace your regular conditioner, its to be used alongside it one or twice a week. So even thought its called a hair 'masque' (which I instantly presumed translated to leave-in conditioner), its actually a hair treatment and an extra hair treat after you've used your standard conditioner. Once I knew this, I realised that although it doesn't necessarily make much difference to my hair whilst wet (it doesn't make it easier to brush through or less tangled like conditioner does), the results it gives my hair once dry are fantastic. On the days I've used this my hair has been soft, shiny and frizz free. More importantly, the results actually last too. Unlike a lot of hair masks that leave hair feeling temporarily soft immediately after use, this one leaves my hair softer and generally more healthy looking for days. This makes me think that this mask is not only giving my hair a boost of nourishment when I've first used it but is also helping to keep it nourished and healthy in the long run too.

The only thing I don't like about this product is the price. A 250ml tub (its also available in 100ml and 500ml) will set you back £23.95 which is very steep for a product that isn't going to last someone like me with long thick hair a very long time. I've found I need to use a good few scoops to give all of my hair a good coating with product so bare that in mind if like me you have a lot of hair!

I'm not usually one to spend a lot of money on hairspray - I figured they all do the same job and usually stick with my £2 bottle of Tresemme. However, after trying this 'Control Spray' from Macadamia, I may have been converted to luxurious hairspray. Check me out, a hairspray snob. Firstly, check out the size of that bottle. Although a bottle of this will set you back £, the humongous 300ml size means its going to last a long time. I've been using it on a regular basis for around a month now and it still feels like a full bottle so bare that in mind before thinking 'I'm not spending that much money on hairspray'. Secondly, like all Macadamia products and the masque mentioned above, it smells great. Using hairspray that doesn't smell like alcohol or paint stripper and doesn't make me almost choke is a definite plus point.

I also love how lightweight this hairspray is and by that I mean it doesn't leave that awful sticky residue that most cheap hairsprays do. When sprayed, a fine even mist of product is distributed from the can. I really love this as I feel like it isn't weighing my hair down and instead is providing control (as the name of the product states) without making my hair feel like cardboard. Come on ladies, we've all done it at least once - sprayed a tad too much hairspray and left the house with hair like staw. Ew! With this product, that isn't possible due to the fine 'mist' type formula. In terms of hold, it does its job. If you need a hairspray to keep every piece of your hair in the same position morning to night, this probably isn't for you but if like me you just want to add a bit of hold but still have natural movement to your hair, you'll love this. I find it adds lots of shine to my hair too which is another bonus. Again, a big thumbs up!

Overall, these are two fabulous products. However, even though I love them, I think they're over priced. I know they say you get what you pay for and yes you probably do but in my current position, I just can't afford to spend £24.00 on a hair mask and £18.00 on hairspray - its insane. However, if these products were discounted, would I buy them? 100% YES! Well, as there's often deals and offers flying around online, I decided to do a bit of detective work and I came across the whole Macadamia hair range for discounted (and more importantly affordable) prices here on the Cheap Smells website. For example, the 250ml hair mask is currently on sale for £14.25 which is much more reasonable and an amount I would be willing to pay. Go check the link out - there's some great bargains to be found if you want to try this hair range without splashing too much cash.

Have you tried either of these products from Macadamia? What do you think? Other than the price, I love these products. I don't have a bad work to say about them!

Lots of Love,

Recent Clothing Purchases // Primark Haul

Oh Primark, why do you draw me in with your wonderful bargains? My bank balance hates you. Yes ladies, I did it again  - a couple of trips to ‘have a browse’ around Primark resulted in lots ‘ooh-ing and ahh-ing’ over their latest offerings, lots of ‘I need it’ moments and of course, lots of spending. I really should be saving my money instead of spending it like its going out of fashion but hey, we only live once right? Another plus point to my uncontrollable spending habits is that I can now share everything I’ve been buying with you lovely lot. Primark hauls are one of my favourite blog posts/videos to read or watch as I love seeing what’s currently in stock and if anything takes my fancy. Lets say us bloggers and vloggers are like Primark’s online website – we give everyone a little insight into the latest fashion bargains up for grabs.

So without further ado, here’s what I’ve been buying from Primark recently. Prepare yourselves for a long and picture-heavy post. In fact, grab yourselves a cup of tea.

Monchrome Bodycon Dress (£13)

As soon as I spotted this dress, I loved it. Not only does it look like something you'd find in Topshop but it appears to be great quality for the super cheap £13 price tag. I was slightly concerned it would be one of those 'looks great on the hanger, looks rubbish on' items but it actually looked even better on. I love the lace detailing down the front panel, the little cut-outs and the Monochrome colour scheme. I'm planning on wearing it tomorrow night for my friends birthday as I think it will look super glam with some heels, a clutch bag and a bold statement lip.

Aztec Print Skirt (£4)

One thing I don't own a great deal of is bottom halves. By this I mean skirts, shorts and trousers. I mainly wear skinny jeans, leggings or dresses on a day to day basis but I want to start buying a few different bits and pieces so I have some alternatives. My first purchase in my quest to re-vamp my 'bottom half' wardrobe is this super cute aztec print skirt. For only £4 you really can't go wrong and I think it will look great in the summer with a floaty vest top tucked in. Its very versatile too and I already have a few ideas on how I could dress it up or down.

Coral Lace Crop Top (£5)

These lace crop-tops are very 'in' at the moment but I've never been drawn to them until I spotted this one in Primark. The bright blood orange shade screamed summer to me and I think it will look beautiful on holiday with a tan and a high-waisted maxi skirt. It only cost £5 too which is a total bargain!

Clutch Bag (£8)

This is my kind of clutch bag - humongous! I'm the kind of girl that takes everything but the kitchen sink on a night out with her so when I spotted this white clutch bag with a very summery yellow and gold envelope clasp, I was sold. It will add a nice pop of summer colour to my bag collection and I'm planning on pairing it with the Monochrome dress I mentioned above tomorrow night. I always feel the need to add a bit of colour to my outfits at this time of year so bright bags or accessories are great if my outfit is lacking in colour!

Mint Green Lace Dress (£12)

Okay, I'm naming this the 'blogger dress'. I don't know about you but every tom, dick and harry who has posted a Primark Haul recently seems to have bought this dress. I spotted it a few weeks ago whilst having a browse and immediately knew I had to have it. I love a good skater dress and this one is just perfect for the summer. I think it will look great paired with some sandals, a tan waist belt and a blazer. Again, I'm already visioning myself wearing it.

Playsuit (£5)

When summer rolls around, I love wearing playsuits. I find them so convenient to throw on and love that they can be dressed up or down too. They're great for holidays to put on over bikinis and are generally a handy little item to have in my wardrobe. So, as you can imagine, when I saw this little beauty for only £5, it had to be mine. I have a blazer that matches the taupe colour perfectly too so I know when paired together they will make a lovely little outfit.

Mint Green Aztec Print Bodycon Dress (£10)

I actually spotted this dress a few weeks ago but much to my disappointment, they didn't have my size. I could tell it'd been a popular choice as there wasn't many sizes left but they clearly recognised the high demand and when I returned for another browse a couple of weeks later, they'd re-stocked and had my size available. Yay! Don't you just love it when that happens? I really love the simple bodycon style of this dress and the aztec print and mint green shade are perfect for this time of year. I think this could be dressed up or down and I can't wait to wear it on my holidays.

Bun Ring (£2)

I spotted this bun ring whilst pursing the jewellery and accessories stand with my friend and both of us immediately had to have it. I already have one of these but it was nowhere near as big as this one so it didn't work well with my long hair. However, I've tried this one and it works a treat. Its a little bit 'essex' with it being so big but I'm sure I can make it classy when paired with the right outfit and makeup.

White Peter Pan Collar Playsuit (£20)

As soon as I saw this, I fell in love. It was among Primark's 'Limited Edition' range so it was a little pricer at £20 but let me tell you, its worth every penny. The picture doesn't do it any justice (its creased to the high heavens sorry) but the material is lovely and sturdy and the floral embellishment around the peter pan collar is just beautiful. I love the fact its white too as I can imagine it looking amazing with a summer tan, bright wedges and a matching bright clutch bag. I'm even tempted to save this for my birthday night out in July - thats how much I love it.

So there we go, my recent Primark purchases. As you can see, I've had a good splurge and I love everything I've bought. I already know I'll get so much wear out of each and every one of these items and they will all be coming on my hollibobs with me next month. I imagine I'll be heading back to Primark soon to stock up on more holiday clothes so do keep your eyes peeled for yet another Primark haul. I'm a woman obsessed let me tell you.
Have you been shopping in Primark recently? Do you like any of the things I've bought?

Lots of Love,
