Monthly Favourites | June

NARS Laguna Bronzer - Need I say more? This will always be a firm favourite every month for me. You can find out why in my full review here.
Bio Oil - I recently purchased this from Feel Unique after hearing so many people rave about its miracle working ingredients. To be honest, I expected its claims to be a load of rubbish but I have been using it on a scar and much to my surprise, have definitely noticed a difference. I have also been applying a teeny bit to my face before bed as it claims to even out skin tone and reduce redness. I will be doing a full review when I have been using it for slightly longer.
Joico Moisture Recovery Leave-In Moisturizer - I recently reviewed this product here after randomly purchasing it from Feel Unique. Since purchasing, I have been constantly spraying this on my hair to keep it moisturised and tangle free. It also smells amazing!
Xen-Tan Mousse Intense - This has been my go-to self tan this month and I love how it gives me a natural olive colour as apposed to an orange 'fake' look a lot of false tans can provide. You can read my full review on it here.
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic - I actually bought this a while ago and never got into a proper routine with it. However, I've been using it again this month and really love it. It smells great and really refreshes my skin. Full review to come soon.
Revlon Nail Polishes - Since being in Australia I have developed a love for Revlon nail polishes. They are very popular here and the colour range is fabulous. I recently bought these two pretty pink shades that I plan on doing a nail look with soon.
Clarins Daily Energizing Gel - I have completely used this up this month, theres not a scrap left. I absolutely love how light this feels on my skin, it smells amazing and leaves my skin soft and moisturised. You can read my review of the Clarins Daily Energizer range  here.
NAKED 2 Palette - If you read my blog regularly you will know my boyfriend recently surprised me with this and I have been really enjoying using it. If you want to know why I love it, you can read my review here.
MAC Gold Deposit MSF - This is such a pretty highlighter and I have been using it almost everyday to add a bronzed glow to my cheekbones. It is perfect for the summer months and relly brightens up my complexion. Again, you can read my full review here.
Inglot Lipstick (No.28) - If you read my blog regularly you will know how much I love berry pink lipsticks. This particular one has been one of my favourites lately as it is extremely pigmented, moisturising and smells incredible. I have been reaching for it a lot this month and I love the sleek packaging too. If you would like me to do a full review with swatches, please let me know.
Revlon 'Lollipop' Lip Butter - Yes, another berry pink lip product has made my favourites. Did I forget to mention I love this colour? I actually dedicated a blog post to this product here as it is my absolute favourite lip product at the moment. I have been using this none stop for the last few weeks and have found it works well for both day and night. It is extremely moisturising on the lips and the pink shade with blue undertones make my teeth look extra sparkling.
Eyelash Curlers - This is a bit of a random one to include but I have been using eyelash curlers everyday for the past couple of months now. I stopped using them for a while after I had a disaster which involved me pulling a clump of my eyelashes out. (Not a good look). However, I have got back into them lately and love how they help my eyes and lashes stand out.

What are your favourite products this month? Oh and I'd also like to say as if its the blooming 1st of July already? Where on earth did June go? Its my 22nd birthday on Friday and it only seems two minutes ago I was turning 21, crazy!

Lots of Love,

My Current Skincare Routine: Clarins Daily Energizer Range

Hey Ladies! I hope you are all well. Todays post is about my current skincare regime. If you read my 'Journey to Australia' post you might remember me saying I arrived at my dads house in Australia to find a basket of easter treats waiting for me. Along with the easter chocolates, there was also three Clarins products from the 'Daily Energizer' range. I have been using these three products as a 3-step skincare routine ever since and I have to say I am very impressed with the results so far.
I would say my skin is dry/normal most of the time but occasionally it can get oily too. Annoying right? I have never been good with sticking to a skincare routine as most of the time I never see a difference or my skin actually gets more dry/oily than before. Not long back I bought the Liz Earle skincare range in the hope it would do wonders to my skin but the products were far too harsh for me. I enjoyed using the Cleanse & Polish but the toner was very strong and dried out my skin and the moisturiser was too heavy and made my skin greasy. Due to that, I stopped using them and decided I needed to find something more suitable. So as you can imagine, when I arrived in Oz and saw these skincare goodies waiting for me, I was rather delighted. I have been using the range for around 3 weeks now so I feel I have used them long enough to give you a thorough review. The three items I have been using are the Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel, Daily Energizer Wake-Up Booster and the Daily Energizer Cream-Gel
Firstly, I have to mention the packaging. As with any product, the packaging and overall appearance can really effect our opinion when it comes to purchasing a product. Now I realise this was bought for me as a gift but I really do love the simple, fresh packaging. I also think the orange colour scheme represents the 'Energizing' description very well. I also have to mention how amazing these products smell. When it comes to skincare, we want to make our skin feel good but we also want to enjoy the process of applying it with a lovely scent. Along with the packaging, the scent also screams 'energising'. There are various fruity scents in each product such as mandarin that make applying them to my skin all the more enjoyable.
Moving on to the products themselves, I love them. I don't often feel the need to rave about a skincare range but this is an exception. I start by using the Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel when I'm in the shower and lather it into my skin. This removes all traces of make-up and really helps to wake up my skin. I then use the Wake-Up Booster on a cotton pad and rub it all over my face to give my skin a deep clean and remove any traces of left over makeup. Sometimes I skip the face wash and just use this to remove my makeup which also works excellently. I would class this part of the routine as the 'toner' stage however this is much more gentle than other toners I have used. There is no strong alcohol smell and it feels so refreshing on the skin. I would definitely recommend this if you have dry skin as it hasn't dried out my skin at all like other toners have. I then finish the routine by applying the Cream-Gel. Unlike most moisturisers, this has a formula containing gel. I originally thought a 'gel' would make my skin greasy but this has to be the nicest moisturiser I have ever used. It sinks into the skin effortlessly, leaves no sticky residue and leaves the skin feeling like a babies bum.
I seriously can't recommend these products enough. If you are looking for a skincare range that will leave you feeling clean, fresh, energised and glowing then this is for you. The picture I have included of myself above is after using the range of products. I know the picture isn't very clear but I think my skin looks nice and fresh considering I don't have a scrap of makeup on. I was about to go to bed so please excuse the messy hair. Although these products are slightly more pricey than others, I think they are worth every penny. The Cleansing Gel is £11.00, the Wake-Up Booster is £15.50 and the Cream-Gel is £20.00. All together that is around £55.00 which isn't bad for a good quality skincare routine. These products are available from various websites including Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Frazer. Debenhams are currently offering free UK delivery on all orders over £50.00 so if you fancy snapping these products up, you can do so here. The Debenhams website describes these products as 'a radiance boosting skincare range that hydrates, protects and energises young skin' and I can't agree more.

Sorry for the seriously long post but I hope it was helpful in some way if you are thinking of treating yourself to some new skincare products. Have you ever tried any of the Clarins skincare range?

I hope you are all having a fabulous bank holiday too!

Lots of Love,

Liz Earle Bargain

I just wanted to share a little bargain I got my hands on recently. Well, a bargain in my books anyway. Basically, I've been umming and ahhing over skincare for AGES now. I never know which brand to go for, which products I need and I'm generally just a lazy slob with my skincare routine. Face wipes and a cheap moisturiser are as far as I go. I've always been lucky enough to have relatively clear skin. I don't tend to suffer with breakouts so skincare has never been top of my beauty regime. However, things changed when I started blogging and heard so much hype about the Liz Earle range. It sounded perfect for me as it contains natural ingredients and isn't overly pricey. I say it time and time again but I really don't have the money to spend on high-end skincare. I do spend a lot of money on makeup but that's what I enjoy and love to collect. Skincare has always been a tad 'meh' for me. Anyway, I decided I couldn't put off getting into a decent skincare routine any longer.

As I was having an online browse one night I decided to have a look on the Liz Earle website and see what all this hype was about. I've heard nothing but good things about their cleanse and polish and being the very easily influenced beauty blogger that I  am, I instantly decided I needed to try it as well. To be honest, I was expecting it to be really expensive as I would obviously need a cleaners, toner and moisturiser. However, on the website I spotted an excellent offer on a 'Skin essentials' kit. For the bargain price of £41.00 I could get myself the infamous Cleanse and Polish, Skin tonic toner and Skin Repair moisturiser. Alongside this, they would throw in a mini Superskin body cream, two muslin cloths AND free postage. Amazing. The website says this would  normally cost £58.50 based on the individual prices, so I would  be saving myself a nifty £18.50. Excellent. Considering I was contemplating spending £22.00 on a moisturiser alone from No7, I thought this was a superb offer. You can find the offer I am talking about hereObviously, this was too good to pass up and I placed an order straight away.

Considering the postage was free, I expected it to take a while to arrive. However, I was wrong and it arrived a couple of days later. When I opened the envelope each of the products were individually wrapped in tissue with a Liz Earle sticker. I thought everything looked so beautiful and this was a nice touch. You can see how lovely it arrived in the picture above. I also noticed there was an extra product that I wasn't expecting. They had thrown in a mini Cleanse and Polish and a third muslin cloth. How nice is that? A very nice, unexpected touch I must admit. Based on first impressions, I  love these products. I will obviously review them in more detail when I have been using them for a while but after a few days use, I am really enjoying them. I love how fresh and natural the products smell and how they make my skin feel so clean. They remove every scrap of my makeup and I feel I am doing my skin some good by using them. It's about time my skin good some good old fashioned TLC.

Have you tried the Liz Earle skincare range? Did it improve the appearance of your skin?

Lots of Love,

Kayleigh..

xXx.
