Glam Double-Wefted Hair Extensions* | 20-22" | £64.99 - Link

Although my hair is pretty long now, the longest its ever been infact, hair extensions will always be a vital part of my 'going out' hair routine. I don't particuarly need them for length anymore but I love them for adding a bit of oomph and volume to my hair when I go out. I also find extensions hold a curl much better than my natural hair too which is great for someone like me who wears their hair curled 90% of the time.

The latest set of lovely locks thats been clipped to my head recently is from a fabulous company called Bobby Glam. I'm really impressed with their website, customer service and the packaging of their hair extensions. Its really unusual to receive extensions in a pretty little box so before I even tried the product inside, I had high hopes. Keep reading to find out more ...

Colour & Length
The colour choice on the Bobby Glam website isn't huge but theres enough shades to cover most hair colours. They don't see any bright or dip-dyed styles but they do have a nice selection of both block and highlighted colours. The one thing I always struggle with when buying extensions is finding a colour to match my highlighted blonde hair so to see they had a few varieties was nice. I decided on the shade 'Bunny Blone' which is the lightest blonde they offer but unlike some blonde extensions, they don't look yellow and unnatural. They seem to have golden and ash tones running through them as well as the bleach blonde which is great as they match my hair perfectly.

There's two lengths available in 16-18" or 20-22" which again doesn't seem like a great deal of choice but I think this range of lengths will cover most hair types and there's always the option of cutting them shorter if needs be. As my hair is relatively long naturally, I decided to go for the 20-22" set and they're the perfect length for me being just a touch longer than my own hair.

Wefts & Thickness
There's a few different sets of extensions available from Bobby Glam including double, triple and quad sets, all of which vary in thickness. I really like that there's multiple options as everyone's hair is different and therefore needs different amounts of hair to create a natural look. I received the double weft set which means instead of having one stip of hair per weft like most full-head sets of extensions, these ones have two strips sewn together for extra thickness. The set comes with 7 strips which you can see in my photos above and 140g of hair which is quite a lot considering extensions I've used in the past have had no more than 100g. I have naturally thick so this is perfect for someone like me who needs that extra thickness without needing to add two times the amount of wefts.

The thing I love most about these extensions is how thick they are from top to bottom. If you've tried a lot of hair extensions like me, one thing you might of noticed is how they always tend to be a lot thinner towards the ends. This bugs me no end as the last thing I want is for my hair to look thin at the ends as the reason I'm buying extensions is to add thickness. With this Bobby Glam extensions, they're the same thickness from top to bottom with no scraggly thin ends in site. This is a major plus point for me and like I said, not something I've found in other extensions. The clips are really good quality too and once I've secured them into my hair, they don't budge all night.

Quality & Styling
The Bobby Glam extensions are made with 100% human remy hair which means they're safe to be styled with heated appliances. As I said earilier, I always wear my hair curled on a night out which means my extensions can often get abused with hair straighteners. However, I've been wearing these extensions on nights out for the past couple of months now and the quality has really held up so I'm very impressed. They're just as sleek and shiny as the first time I wore them and they curl like a dream. I don't find they pull of tug on my straighteners and instead glide through them to create a perfect bouncy curl. I've even sprayed them with loads of hairspray and worn them at a festival and they're still as good as new. If the past two months are anything to go by, these extensions should last me a long time. Yay!

Overall I love these extensions and I'm going to go as far as saying they're the best ones I've ever used, purely down to the fact they're the same thickness from top to bottom which is something you don't often find in hair extensions. I also love how silky soft they are and although I've worn them on numerous occassions now, the quality has remained. If you're looking for some new extensions, I can't recommend these ones enough. The double-weft set I've got are currently reduced from £84.99 to £64.99 here so its the perfect time to treat yourself if you're on the hunt for a new set!

Are you a fan of hair extensions? Have you tried Bobby Glam?

New Locks | Clip Hair Deluxe Extensions

Wearing the extensions - (I need some colour on those roots ASAP!)

Hi Ladies! As you may or may not be aware - I am a huge fan of hair extensions. My love for them began way back when I was fifteen and in high school. I remember my friend and I getting our first pack of extensions from a shop in Preston and we were so excited to put them in and have the long hair we'd always dreamed of 8). As soon as I glued them in (yes glued - bad idea!), I fell in love. When I was younger my hair never grew past my shoulders so extensions were the perfect solution.

As I've got older my hair has got a lot longer but I still adore wearing extensions to give me extra volume. I don't wear them every day anymore as I think my hair looks fine without them but for a night out they are a massive must have. I've tried my fair share of extensions in the past, even splashing out £250 for Semi-permanent Micro Rings (read my review here) but no matter what, I have always been drawn back to clip-ins due to the fact they are so easy to use. All I need to do is section my hair, clip them in, give them a quick once over with my GHD's and I am good to go. With this being said, you can imagine how thrilled I was to discover I'd won Clip Hair's twitter comp to win a pack of their extensions. I entered on a whim after seeing someone else's retweet so the fact I won came as a huge surprise to me.

Now I'm going to be honest, I hadn't heard of Clip Hair before I entered their competition. As I said, I entered on a whim and I can officially say, I am so glad I did. Not only are these the nicest extensions I have ever owned in terms of quality and comfort but they are also the most natural looking. Even my mum said she couldn't tell I was wearing them and let me tell you now, she HATES me wearing hair extensions. My mum and Nanna have always preferred my natural hair but as I love a bit of glamour in my life, I've always opted for extensions regardless of them telling me not to. I'm wearing them in the photos above and as you can see they blend into my real hair perfectly. They are also super duper shiny, silky and soft - I can't stop touching my hair each time I wear them. I've worn them quite a few times now and they still look as good as new which is quite a rare occurrence compared to lots of extensions that go coarse and frizzy as soon as heat is applied to them.

Now I'm sure a few of you who have read my blog for a while might by thinking 'does she like them more than Foxy Locks' which I reviewed here and the answer to that would be YES, yes I do! Don't get me wrong I still rate Foxy Locks and would recommend them but since buying them by hair has been dyed darker so they don't match anymore. I think the colour range from foxy Locks is poor and as someone who has a few different colours going through my hair, a one-tone blonde shade isn't going to cut it. I mean there isn't anything worse than seeing girls wear lighter extensions than their natural hair - it looks cheap, fake and tacky.  Fortunately, Clip Hair have a huge array of shades including my perfect shade 22/613 which is a mix between Ash and Bleach Blonde.

I was sent the 'Deluxe/Volume' set as my natural hair, as you can see above, is fairly thick. This particular set comes with 8 double-wefted pieces in various sizes. It only took a couple of minutes to clip them in and I love how they much volume and body they created. I quickly curled the ends with my straighteners so they blended in perfectly and my natural hair was undetectable. They didn't give me an awful lot of length but as my hair is long anyway, that wasn't an issue. Mine are 20 inches for reference but they offer a wide range of lengths on their website from 10-26 inches so there really is something for everybody. Again, another win over Foxy Locks who only offer 20 inches. Yes that's great for people like me with long hair but not practical for someone with much shorter hair.

The Deluxe set of extensions I was sent costs £69.99 which I personally think is very reasonable for a set of good quality, thick extensions. However, if you don't have thick hair, a standard 20inch set only costs £54.99. Obviously prices will vary depending on the length you choose but overall they are very good value for money. They also offer clip on fringes, ponytails and wavy sets for you curly-haired girls. There really is a colour, length and style for everybody. I could go on and on and on about how their fabulous website, that's how impressed I am but I think that's enough rambling from me for now.
