July Love Me Beauty Box (& 10% discount code)

Love Me Beauty box* | £10.00 + p&p | 10% off with my code CG10 | Link

Its July Love Me Beauty box time!! This month I picked menu two from the three available (it was the brow kit that swayed my decision) and waited patiently for it to arrive in the post. Since it arrived, I've had a chance to play around with the products and I have to say - I'm SO impressed! Not only are all the products fantastic quality but most of them cost more individually than this whole box put together. At a combined value of £70ish (I couldn't work it out exactly due to the one sample size), this box is a serious bargain as it only cost a mere £10 plus p&p. Even better, you can get an additional 10% off by entering my discount code 'CG10' in at the checkout. All these fantastic products for £9 - surely that's an offer too good to resist? Here's a bit more about each of the products I received ...

Ofra Pressed Eyeshadow in 'Bliss' | RRP £8.80
I've never heard of this brand before but oh my gosh, this eyeshadow is amazing! As soon as I swatched it I was blown away by the buttery soft texture, intense pigmentation and metallic finish. Its a beautiful neutral gold shade and kind of reminds me a of my all time favourite eyeshadow - 'Woodwinked' by MAC. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this product!

Lashem Lash Enhancing Serum (2ml sample)
I've never tried a lash enhancing serum before but I've heard great things about them so I'm excited to give this product a go. This is the only sample size product in this months box but because you only need to apply so little of this each time you use it, it should still be big enough to give me a good idea if it works or not. I have quite a bad habit of picking at my eyelashes and pulling lashes out so if this does enhance my lashes like it claims it will, I'll be very happy!

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in 'Hollywood' | RRP £11.60
Another Ofra product in this months box is this liquid lipstick in the shade 'Hollywood', a bright fuchsia pink which is right up my street. Much like the eyeshadow mentioned above, this product is fantastic. The pigmentation is second to none and it has a lovely creamy formula. It sets on the lips after application but it still feels comfortable and is very long lasting. If these two amazing Ofra products are anything to go by, I'm going to have to check out other products from the brand!

So Susan Flutter Mascara | RRP £14.95
Another brand I've not heard of but that doesn't bother to me as that's the whole point of beauty boxes - getting to try products from brands I would have never tried otherwise. I've discovered some of my favourite brands through beauty boxes so I don't like it when people turn their noses up at products included just because they aren't from a well known brand - it doesn't make them any less great. This So Susan mascara come in a pretty gold tube and has a thin plastic brush covered in small bristles to allow for really precise application.

So Susan Dual Brow Powder | RRP £11.95
Another So Susan product in this months box is this super cute brow kit that comes with two different brow powders and a little brush. I'm a big lover of filling in my eyebrows as it gives my makeup that finishing touch and makes my face look more polished - if that makes any sense. I like that these two powders can be used on their own or mixed and matched to create the perfect brow shade for you. They're both quite warm tones shades so they might not be ideal if your brows for an ash undertone but for me, the dark shade works well. The powders aren't as pigmented as the likes of HD Brows or Benefit Brow Zings but as a starter kit if you're just getting into brow products, its great.

The Teashed 4am tea (20 bags) | RRP £3.50
I'm a total sucker for a cup of tea so I'm very happy to see these Teashed teabags featured in this months box. There's 20 bags which is a really generous amount and the tea claims to be naturally low in caffeine so even if you drink it at 4am, you'll still drift off to sleep. The fact its low in caffeine is a plus point for me as I always drink decaf tea anyway. My doctor suggested cutting down on caffeine to reduce my anxiety levels and its definitely made me feel less jittery so if you do suffer with high stress or anxiety levels, I'd definitely suggest cutting it out or at least cutting down to see if it helps. As well as being low in caffeine, this tea is also full of antioxidants so its great for the skin too!

Extra product: Weleda Sea Buckthorn Replenishing Body Lotion | RRP £15.95
I didn't expect to receive this product in my box but I can't say I'm complaining as Weleda is a great brand and this body lotion is absolutely divine. It has a very citrusy scent which I LOVE and the lotion sinks into my skin straight away leaving no greasy residue behind. I'll definitely be using every last drop of this!

So there we have it, July's Love Me Beauty box. As you can see, this months box is exceptional value for money as the contents of the box would cost around £7o if you were to buy them at their RRP price. I also love that five out of the six products are full sized - there's nothing worse than receiving a beauty box full of sachets or teeny samples. There isn't one product in the whole box I wouldn't use either and for only £9 with my discount code CG10, it really is a bargain! If you'd like to snap if up for yourself, head over to the Love Me Beauty website.

Lots of love,

June Love Me Beauty Box & 10% Off

Love Me Beauty* | £10.00 plus p&p | 10% off with the code CG10

Love Me Beauty have fast become my favourite beauty box subscription since I started receiving them almost twelve months ago. Every box I've received since then has thoroughly impressed me and while some months are better than others, I've never once been disappointed with the items I've received. The boxes always contain at least two or three full size products and the total value of the items I receive each month are well over the value of the box. I also love the concept of choosing from three menus each month so I can pick the box with products most suited to me.

I loved the look of all three menus this month but in the end I went for menu 1 as I know I'll make use of every single item in this box. Here's what's inside ...

Beauty UK 'Earth Child' Eyeshadow Palette | RRP £3.99
I was really excited to see this little eyeshadow palette in thi s months box as its the perfect size for travelling with and the colours are all right up my street - neutrals and deep smokey shades. I have to be honest and say I'm not blown away by the packaging as it looks quite cheap but its definitely a versatile little palette and some of the shades aren't too dissimilar from those in the Urban Decay Naked palette.

Model Co 'Fairly Floss' Lipgloss | RRP £12
As I'm sure you all know by now, I'm a lip product junkie so it won't come as a surprise to any of you that this Model Co lipgloss is my favourite product in this months box. The shade is a pretty baby pink with a beautiful sheen and the formula isn't sticky at all which I love. Another couple of things I love about this product is the fact it smells like strawberries (seriously - it smells good enough to eat) and that it has a mirror on the side - so handy for on the go touch ups! Considering this whole box only costs £9 with my discount code (CG10), this lipgloss alone is worth £3 more than the entire box!!

NYX Cosmetics Nail Polish | RRP £3
I'm a big fan of NYX cosmetics so its nice to see the brand featured in this months box. I haven't tried any of their nail polishes before so I'm looking forward to trying this. When it comes to nail polish, I believe less it more and I'm a big fan of classic shades over anything bright so this neutral peach shade with a hint of shimmer looks perfect!

Urban Veda Purifying Day Cream (20ml sample size)
I've never heard of the brand Urban Veda before but that's what I love about beauty boxes like Love Me Beauty - it gives me the chance to try new brands/products that I can then go on to purchase if they impress me. This particular moisturiser is designed to detoxify congested and oil-prone skin which is great for me as I suffer with a particularly oily t-zone.

Montagne Jeunesse Brazilian Mud Fabric Masque | RRP £1.49
I always see this Montagne Jeunesse face masks when I go into Boots but I've never picked one up due to the fact they're so cheap - I'm very cautious when it comes to skincare as I have such sensitive skin but after reading up on this, it sounds worth a try. Its one of those scary looking fabric masks that makes people look like something out of a horror film but despite its strange appearance, this mask promises to nourish the skin and it has some great superfood ingredients such as Acai Berries and Avocado as well as Purple Brazilian Mud. I'll be giving this a whirl on my next pamper night.

Overall I'm very happy with this months box and the contents are worth double the price of the box so its great value for money. However, if you aren't keen on these particular products, you can check out their Boutique and see the other products available this month. A nude Model Co lipstick and Beauty UK eyebrow palette are some of the other products I liked the look of in the other boxes! If you're considering signing up to Love Me Beauty, don't forget to use my 10% discount code CG10 at the checkout!

Beauteco Box | £10 plus p+p | Link

Last month I wrote a post about a new beauty subscription box, Beauteco box. If you read that post you’ll know how impressed I was with the box and the fact you get to choose the box you receive from not one, not two but three different 'menus'. I won’t go into too much detail as I’ve explained the whole concept here but if you haven’t heard of it yet, I’d highly recommend checking it out. It’s definitely the best beauty box I’ve come across. I recently received the August box* to review for you all and once again, I’m so impressed with the contents. I chose menu one this month which includes ...

Arran Aromatics Lavender & Tea Tree Facial Wash (full size)
Lord & Berry Intensity Lipstick 'Peach Gleam' (full size)
Lord & Berry Kiss Proof Lip Colour Liner 'Blossom' (full size)
Melvita Apicosma hand cream (30ml sample)
S5 Calm Serum, (10ml sample)

As you can see, this is an amazing box! I'm not going to do mini reviews of everything as I haven't had chance to try everything properly yet but on first impressions, I love every single product I received. I was particularly excited to see the Lord & Berry lip products included as the shades are right up my street and I've already worn them together - they're a stunning neutral lip combo. I've also tried the Arran Aromatics face wash and although it isn't a brand I've heard of before, its a great product. Its really refreshing on the skin and it contains exfoliating particles so I feel like I'm getting a double whammy of skin goodness when I use it. I've also used the hand cream and although I wasn't keen on the scent, its very moisturising and the perfect size for popping in my handbag. The only product I'm yet to try is the S5 Calm Serum but its sounds very interesting so I'm excited to give it a whirl. Like I said, I've not used any of the products enough yet to review them properly but as soon as I've been using them for a while, I'll report back with individual reviews.

For only £10 plus p&p, I don't have any complaints about this box. Considering the Lord & Berry lipstick retails for £12.00 alone, I'd say its a damn good deal. If you'd like to try one of these boxes for yourself, beauteco are currently offering all new subscribers 2 extra products in their first box with the code FRIEND07. What are you waiting for?

Have you tried Beauteco Box yet? What do you think of this months box?

I have to be honest when I say, I'm not a massive lover of beauty boxes. When I first started blogging I signed up for Glossybox and although I thought it was a genius idea getting a surprise box delivered to my door every month, I was often left disappointed by the contents. I'm not disrespecting Glossybox in any way as I did enjoy receiving the boxes, I'm just giving my honest opinion when I say I don't believe they were value for money and for that reason, I cancelled my subscribtion.

With this being said, I've never looked into other beauty box subscriptions as I didn't want to risk signing up and being left disappointed again. However, when I was contacted by Beautecobox a little while ago and asked if I'd like to try their July box*, I couldn't say no. After reading about the concept behind their box and seeing the products up for grabs, it was an offer too good to miss out on. Unlike other beauty boxes, Beauteco offer their subscribers a 'menu' each month that gives them the option of not one, not two but three different boxes. Each box contains a different mixture of products so you can choose the one that suits your tastes and needs best which is a really thoughtful touch. To top it off, the box the products arrive in is 100% recyclable and the products inside contain ingredients that are safely biodegradable too. Yay for an eco-friendly beauty box!

I decided to go for menu two from the July options and the contents are very impressive as four out of the five products I received are full size. The four full size products include Neal & Wolf Elevate Volumising Lotion (RRP £11.95), Neal & Wolf Harmony Intensive Care Treatment (RRP £12.95), Art Deco Shadow Base (RRP £8) and Art Deco Soft Kajal Liner (RRP £6.75). Add all of that plus the 10ml sample of Pukka Radiance Serum (RRP £6.40) and this box is worth a whopping £46.05, more than three times the £10 plus £2.95 p&p this box retails for.

I haven't actually tried any of the products I received yet other than the eyeliner which is fabulous but I plan on doing individual reviews when I've had chance to try them all thoroughly. I will say one thing though - the Neal & Wolfe hair products smell incredible and as a lover of hair care, I'm so excited to try them out. I love the deep purple and cream packaging and the bottles are humongous! I'm also intrigued by the eyeshadow primer as it isn't a product I ever think of using so it will be interesting to see if it does make my eyeshadow last that little bit longer. The Pukka serum sounds fabulous too - anything with the term 'radiance' in the name will more than likely get a huge thumbs up from me. Who doesn't love injecting their skin with a healthy glow?

Considering beautecobox was only launched in May, I'm very impressed with their ethos, their service and the concept behind this box. If I could choose to subscribe to any beauty box right now, this one would be at the top of my list. You can find out more about it here if you're interested in subscribing and getting your hands on the July box. Keep an eye out for my full reviews on the products I received too - I can't wait to try them!

What do you think of the beautecobox? Is it one you'd be tempted to try?
